So far this season as a Fan I have, like the rest here, have been disappointed by our teams start. Things could be alot better but they could be much worse, the only game we really just couldn't compete was tonight. I have to say though, i'm really more irritated with the NBA as a whole so far. The new Technical rule combined with nothing less than pure coddling of those who have been labeled "stars" has made for a very irritating game league wide. The calls on almost every game I have watched have been blown and one sided. Just tonight Lebron all but a** rapes Jason Richardson to get a steal and then comes back, is not touched on the way to the basket and gets a foul call. Then, I flip to the Rockets game and Durant gets a call when Battier and everyone else were at least a foot away. Maybe this is hows its always been and im just now noticing. Maybe some of you older fans correct me but it just seems like they are making this game more about initiating contact on a drive to get the blocking foul than it is about having to make the shot.
I hate the new rule for the same reason. The refs have free reign to blow calls left and right now. IO am really becoming detached by this new style. They completely control the outcome in some games and momentum now. Its like watching a script play out almost.
For real man, I dont remember it being this way when I was young watching. It is making me not want to watch as much, if I wanted to see a manly soap opera I would be watching wrestling..
