I like how you just said the same exact things you did before, without actually dealing with my points about how a mere 17 playoff games is a much smaller sample size and how you ought to be consistent if you're going to bring up sample size yourself. Like the 2008 playoffs where his FG%, FTAs, and PPG went up, while his turnovers went down? Yeah, they really shut him down there. He was shut down in a single 5 game series in 2009, but big deal. You're making a weak case if you're relying on one game or five games, while I'm relying on track records established by entire seasons and careers. BTW, over the course of three recent games Tim Duncan was held to a total of 7-23 shooting and less than 10 ppg. Duncan sux Deron's definitely more consistent at turning the ball over and being unable to get it back for his team like Paul does.
You are not understanding the context. Playoff and regular season are not the same. Ask David Robinson, the king of regular seasons stats. 17 playoff games is not a small sample size. You play handful of playoff games a year. How do you explain the drastic drop in his 3pt FG% compared to his regular season numbers? Again, his FG% didnt take a hit but his 3ptfg% did (his numbers held in every area except 3pt). A regular seoson 3ptFg is not the same as a playoff 3ptFg. If you think otherwise, I am not even going to bother debating this further. 10 games of the beginning of the season is a small sample size for 3pt FG% considering its a 82 game regular season. If his stats from previous season is an indication, 44% from 3pt will not hold over the entire season. This is what I meant and you are forgetting the context. It will still be very good but wont hold tat 44%, a number which you were drumming. You keep defending Paul's other facets of the game when I have already said that Paul might be slightly better in other areas. But that difference is not enough for me to forget Deron's ability to score from long distance at the end of the games. That's a huge commodity at the end of games in playoffs and Deron has shown that he is very good at it.
