If they get the crowd going then, yes.

Studies have shown that loud crowds influence the refs.

It is very hard to get the crowd going when 1/2 the arena wants to SIT DOWN and watch the game like a bump on a log and the other 1/2 wants to stuff their face with 8 dollar nachos. A few of the Rowdies try every game, it doesn't work.

No, he's not. He's one of my good friends inside and outside of the Rowdies. He is also on of the BEST Rowdies we have.

It's so childish to hide behind an internet identity and say whatever you want about people, especially untrue things.

I have hungout with the guy before at Rockets games and outside of them, he is an awesome easy going guy. I was one of the 18 Rowdies that made the trip to San Antonio that Cliff organized... the same guy you call an "idiot". He is a great Rowdie and a great person and very knowledgeable about the Rockets and the NBA professional game. I don't think he reads these boards, but I will make sure he knows about this.

I've been saying it for years. SPREAD THEM OUT! if you put 5-7 rowdies in each section in the lower bowl. It will be much more affective then them all concentrated in one area.

The Rowdies are just annoying now. They were so much better the 1st season.

why is this in the Dish? the Rowdies should be in the Rockets section.
the dish is for people to talk about washed up bench players who play in crappy cities

I'd probably agree with this if I went to every game.

Rowdies help the overall enviornment no question, but if people expect them to help the team win, help us all. The players need to get it done with or without the Rowdies.

Imagine Reliant during a playoff game... it would be like no other. No other sport in this city can match the Texans atmosphere when a game is close deep in the 4th quarter.

I like the RR but honestly the uniqueness has worn off. Also agree that the stadium being half empty doesn't help but that I guess is another topic.

rockets fans are pretty bad during non big games, similar to Miami Heat fans.

This is not a knock on the current RR's, but what i've noticed is this, that ever since they became a part of the organization, now there's auditions each year for new Rowdies, which is done by the team, which means they have to follow certain rules and what not, which is fine, but they no longer have the same effect as the original group, unless i'm wrong, which i could very well be, but it seems like it's a whole bunch of guys out there now.
