We have one closer on the team and he is out for 3 more weeks... AB is the only thing we have at the end of games that can get his own quality shot as well as a good one for teamates. We have no one else capable on the entire team. DD
His decision making is mind boggling at times. Hill got 5 boards in 5 minutes and he doesnt play again. Ish Smith didnt have a great first half but that doesnt mean you dont play him especially when you have a game tmrw.
We miss his offense no doubt, but Rose might of had a career night if brooks was guarding him tonight.
That is a serious problem. We aren't going to close anybody when things run tight late in the game. Maybe Martin isn't worth that much. Should have pushed for the Melo trade with whatever we could.
He is a good players coach to make the best of players. And his players love him. But Idleman's on court judgement is very questionable.
C. The qualifiers: he's been pretty decent in the past couple seasons, knows how to get the team to overachieve, and has a lot of change to deal with this year. That said, he seems comatose on the bench sometimes and it's getting worrisome.
C This team has been playing uninspired ball. The lack of direction from the coaching staff has been magnified by the slow start and Yao's inability to bounce back quickly.
WHAT?????? He did have a career night, Lowry didn't do anything to slow him down, at least AB would have made him work.... Tonight AB could have done his usual substandard defensive job and Rose would not have been much better. While AB would have scored a lot more...with AB starting tonight we win this game by 10+ points. DD
Not playing Jordan Hill or Ish is simply inexcusable. We have a game tomorrow and Lowry will be gassed.
Adelman deserves a C-. Failure to recognize C.Lee sucking, Failure to bring in Hill for his athleticism and defense at the rim. Failure to give Lowry a breather by bringing in Ish Smith. Failure to put in Scola until the the bulls had a 7 or 8 point lead.
Aldeman has had to deal with the"egg timer" minutes of his franchise player and fitting everybody around a hard count while trying to find chemistry. I cant recall any team having to deal with their no. 1 player being on a stopwatch Then he loses that player and on top of that he loses his other top scorer. To grade him now is a pure knee jerk reaction. Wait till about 20 games, then we will see.
The man constantly refuses to adjust lineups or call early timeouts when teams begin to go on runs. Drives me crazy. He's always done this. However, it's early and we have time to gel C
Inexcusable 18-0 run by the Bulls in the 4th. Lowry's the most overrated defender on the team, and he's completely inept on the offensive end. Lowry, Battier, and Hayes should never be on the floor at the same time. After we display the offensive capabilities of a middle school B-team, we're forced to watch RA gripe and sulk on the sideline. I understand he's working with a depleted team (w/o Brooks, Yao, Budinger), but he needs to check his douchey demeanor at the door and cut down the rotation.
B While I do somewhat agree with people that his rotations could be better, I also think that when the cards are stacked against you (like AB, Yao, and Budinger getting injured), it's human nature to go with what you feel is comfortable. For Adelman, that means playing Chuck Hayes, Kyle Lowry, and Brad Miller more. The right call? Maybe not, but hindsight is always 20/20. I mean, honestly, I hear people saying that Adelman should have played Jared Jeffries and Jermaine Taylor tonight... really? Your answer to our 4th quarter woes is to play a horrible offensive player and an inexperienced player? That's called grasping at straws...
This is the lineup I recall also, I honestly could not believe that he had this roatation out there for so long, redicilous!
