    Its not about playing bad.

Its about when the game slows down and defense picks up. You have to run a half court offense. You can't gimmick your points. I guess you missed being outsocred 15-0 starting the fourth.

Its about being completely unable to run plays because no one can create. Its about Lowry and Martin being stuck with the ball with 3 seconds left and getting shot clock violations due to broken plays.

    5 star thread

I hope the Lowry nut huggers realize that this is why he cannot be the starter. As long is Brooks is not in the lineup, this team will have a tough time winning games.

This thread is just as bad as the "Rockets better without Brooks" thread.

No one could've stopped Derrick Rose tonight. Could Brooks have helped the Rockets during that huge scoring drought in the 4th, yes. But he definitely wouldn't have helped defending Rose. Adelman should've given Lowry some rest and given Ish some time in the 2nd half.

lowry is not a starting PG, what makes him good as a backup is that he can keep pushing the tempo. the last games that ive seen him play he takes ill advised long range shots and we all know he is not a shooter, someone needs to smack him and remind him he is not a shooter!!!

Yes that was me. I made that statement based on the obvious outcome of our blowout win and a true pg running the helm. But Ish was that true starting pg not Lowry and he was running the offense great and shooting not so terrible.

Ish has struggled a bit, but Lowry just looks bad out there. He makes too many mental errors. I am not saying Brooks is the answer. I am saying he is a better starter than Lowry. And I also said that long before I said Brooks out instant chemistry.

Also my point in that article was Brooks needed to adjust this year to a run the offense first and look for his second mentality. Which I felt he wasn't doing and was still stuck in his last year mode when he needed to score for us to win. He still needs to do that if he wants to help this team when he comes back. But Lowry is just not cutting it as a starter. He is proving to the league he is a great backup and not a astarter and thus destroying his trade value. Lowry is great off the bench but the Brooks of last year was superior as a starter. He neeeds to bring that play back but at the same time think about running the offense more. If he can do that he can help this team alot. If he can't we need to trade him before he loses more value. Either way Lowry is not the answer.

He goes full out against 2nd string guys and wears them out.

    He is great at that.

When he has to start, he can't go full out, and he can't play as well against first tier players.

Lowry is an energy off the bench guy, a 20mpg game situational backup PG...

Brooks, while not perfect by any stretch, is a true starting caliber PG in the league, whether you think he is top 12, or top 25, he is still better than Lowry, and he is the ONLY guy that can get his own quality shot as well as get one for a teamate in a tight game.

Aaron Brooks is our best option at PG....he may not be DWill, or CP3, but he is our best hope to win.

I mean Kyle played 43 minutes, was left all alone on the perimeter and got 7 total points, 7 asssists and 4 turnovers.

But maybe he made it up on defense, right?....uh, no....

AB at least would have scored some and we could have avoided that 4th quarter scoring drought.

Oh well....3 more weeks of this, and then he is back.....hopefully by then.

I thought Lowry did good tonight. He actually did a good job defending Rose until the fourth quarter. He probably would've done better at the end if he weren't running on fumes.

He just needed a backup PG to spell him so that he didn't need to play 43 minutes.

Lowry was creating just fine? He had 7 assist and several others that weren't converted for him. He kept drawing Brad's man into the paint and dishing back to Miller.

As I said, I do miss Brooks. He can help when we need that offensive spark. But I like it off the bench. Our starters outplayed theirs to open up both the 1st and 3rd quarters. Our bench really let us down tonight.. every single one of them was pretty bad. Lowry had to play 43 minutes because of Ish's ineffectiveness.
