I actually think Rose may be SLIGHTLY more athletic than Wall, but Wall might have a better jumpshot and all around game, and a better PG already at this state
Have to see what Wall does his first season as a pro. Many people want to try to compare, but until Wall plays with the best, you can't tell.
Wall is doing way better than Rose did during his first 10 games in the NBA. That doesn't mean he will end up being a better player, but it's quite possible. I didn't think so at first.
I'm going with John Wall, if you compare him to Rose at this stage of their game Wall is way ahead of him, Wall's court vision is where he is flat out superior to Rose. The only advantage Rose has on Wall that I see, is his physicality, his more prone to attacking the rim than Wall at this stage of his game. Wall is the quicker PG....he's a blur when he goes down court. He also plays better D and has better IQ than Rose. He already has a triple double in the first 5 games of his career. It's only a matter of time before he is better than Rose.
Wall, I think he is already on the same level and has a much higher ceiling. Rose is pretty overrated imo, very good player, but not elite. Wall can be elite
Both Rose and Wall are great PG. They both are incredibly gifted, athletic, and smart basketball players. I think Wall, Rose, and Westbrook will be battling each other for years to come. But Wall is incredibly talented and trust me, this guy will be the top 5 PG in the league in a couple of years. Wall can do just about everything Rose can do but he's longer. Both player are explosive and possesses great court vision.
So did Wall. In case you forgot, it was against us that he got his triple double. Both are great PGs, but Wall right now is as good as Rose, with no NBA experience. He also plays smarter. He is sneaky quick with those hands, kept slapping the ball out of the hands of players that never ever lose the ball when they have both hands on it. I think Wall will end up being the best player.
Kid of apples and oranges, but barring health, I'm going with Wall. Wall is taller (6'4 Rose 6'2 both without shoes on), faster with the ball baseline to baseline, and already looks like a better passer (with lesser talent in Washington) than Rose in Wall's rookie year. From a pure athletic standpoint, Rose has a higher standing vertical (as we saw last night) but their running verticals are about the same. Wall has a 6'9 wingspan, Rose has a 6'8. So I think Wall is a little better outside shooter (3pt wise), better passer, and may become a better defender than Rose. Rose can jump higher, and I think might (maybe, not sure though) be a little stonger. Both of these guys could reach the next level, like Dwayne Wade did (as far as development, not position). And it could go either way, but I would have to give the edge to Wall myself.
Firat off to the poster who said rose was 6'2 and wall was 6'4. Give me a break drose is the bigger player way closer to 6'4 than wall and a lot bigger and stronger. I love john wall and he might end up better but rose is playing out of this world this year 25 and 9 isn't a joke plus he's the leader on a pretty solid bulls team missing there second best player. In 3 years rose and durant will be considered the 2 best players in the nba imo. He's in total beast mode and taking his game to another level. Also rose is a lot better shooter and scorer than wall and have yall seen him in the playoffs he takes his game to another level Just my 2 cents.
