What specific incidences of Israelis/jews being offended "on the internet" are you referring to? In terms of "being offended", I can much more vividly remember examples of muslims constantly being "outraged", even over such insignificant issues as some Danish cartoonist drawing a little picture, burning down embassies and killing people over it. Do you have examples of jews being similarly "outraged" in the recent past, as you mentioned that?

We wouldn't have such bad relations with that region of the world if we hadn't supported Israel when they did all of the nasty things they did in the occupied territories.

It's a sad irony that a people who suffered so much at the hands of genocide would then conduct themselves in a similar way towards another people.

Fanatics have hijacked zionism in a sense and the anti-jewish propaganda machine has demonized the term. We want a state of our own to escape persecution. We want to have a peaceful society where we can worship and live a jewish life.

I do not intend to derail this thread about the dangers of anti-semitism, and the propaganda and ideals spread that endanger us all. I do not support the settlements at all. I do not support trading fighter jets for essentially nothing in the long run. Israeli policy has made it worse for jews. With that being said, they have become too reactionary to cartoon characters like Ahmedinejad and Nasrallah and it has only strengthened the stance of the right-winged ultrareligious (who wouldn't even consider me to be jewish).

 

At least I provided an example. Your evidence for your anti-Israel statements were vague statements like "they are mean on the Interwebz!" without even showing anything for it. If I take this BBS as an example, I have not seen Jewish outrage here. A lot of outrage from another group, though.

Again, you failed to provide examples. If I go by what I see on this BBS, it does not support your claim at all.

1% to 2% of Americans are Jewish and .6-1.5% of Americans are Muslim.

Saudi's just bought $60 billion worth of US weaponry, mainly upgraded F-15's. Supposedly the Saudi's wanted the most most advanced version and some long range weapons, but the Israeli's quashed that. Its part of the US's foreign policy for Israel to have the technological edge against everyone else in the region.
