Read the NY Post's recap of the game for grins and they didn't disappoint. Completely dismiss the Rockets, dismiss the job Hayes did, and even the disappearing act Stoudemire pulled in the second half. Somehow, it was D'Antoni's fault or a lack of a sense of urgency, with no mention of all the possessions lost when Stoudemire turned the ball over or bricked trying to muscle past Hayes.

He also had 3 turnovers just in the first half. We have scorers like Martin and scola starting. We need to have a true pg starting In ABs place. It's showing to work beTter that way with Ish and Lowry. AB would be a good spark off the bench.

In the 24 minutes against the Spurs with Brooks, the Rockets were outscored and outplayed... trailing 52 to 57 despite, Brooks and Martin both scoring 18 points.

In the second half, without Brooks the Rockets outscored the Spurs 69 - 67 in 29 minutes(OT) and 61 to 56 in regulation.

so no the spurs were NOT beating down the rockets without brooks... unless losing counts as beating down... just saying...

While i dont agree with the opinion that the Rockets are a better team w/out brooks or that they were 0-5 because of him, it is undeniable that the Rockets as a team are playing better both defensively and offensively since he left midway through the spurs game. The reasons for that, may be due to Brooks or yao or it may be due to more playing time or practice time or quality of opponents... whatever the reasons, the results however are undeniable.
