My friend's 5 MO daughter, Caroline, has come through her heart surgery okay. She had several septal defects repaired. She is not out of the woods yet. She does not eat well and has had to be put on a feeding tube 18 hours a day. In fact, she was Code Blue two weekends ago but was re-stabilized. She is now on a waiting list for a liver transplant. One of the NASCAR owners has grounded one of his corporate jets to be exclusively available for my friend's family to jet them off to Cincinnat within the houri when the call for the transplant opportunity comes through. Keep this little one in your thoughts and prayers and, if you haven't done so, sign up to be an organ donor. It is a miracle and a blessing that life can come from death.
thanks for posting this, giddyup...in one post we are reminded of our own mortality, our own blessings, the potential kindness of other human beings and the amazing abilities of our doctors to perform life-saving transplants... God bless this little girl..she'll be in my prayers and the prayers of my family tonight.
giddyup I was just wondering how little Caroline was doing. I have kept her in my prayers and have been hoping for something good. god bless.
Thanks for asking, <b>Mr. Scary</b>. She is doing okay. Her daily existence is a grind. Her liver function is diminishing and it disrupts everything from eating to sleeping. She is awaiting the call for a liver transplant. At some point if an organ donation is not yet available, they will have to take one of the mother's lobes and use that. While the family has much support from family and friends, there is never-ending stress and exhaustion wearing on Tony, Amy, and big sister Courtney. Keep them <b>all</b> in your thoughts and prayers
My prayers are with Caroline and her family. I know the Lord will make away. And I will sign up to be an organ donar! GOD BLESS
