    Yeah. The funny thing is that, even if the quotes used in threads like this are accurate, they don't matter - long dead people were NOT commenting on current events.

    True, although I did read on Free Republic the other day a rather cogent support for upping the number of commissioned satellite-deployed lasers in the next round of Star Wars funding, taken verbatim from Federalist No. 37. John Jay knew his way around space lasers.

    Those who know history, those condemned to falsely repeat it, etc.
