Brooks is out. Lowry isn't 100%. Yao is out. And now Budinger is out. Rockets are 2-6. What a horrible start to the Rockets season.
Rockets notes: Budinger sprains left ankle in victory By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2010 Houston Chronicle Nov. 13, 2010, 12:18AM Share Del.icio.usDiggTwitterYahoo! X-rays were negative, but he suffered a sprained left ankle, the sixth sprained left ankle the Rockets have suffered and second for Budinger since September. Aaron Brooks and Yao Ming are out with sprained left ankles. Kevin Martin and Brad Miller also sprained their left ankles this season. Chuck Hayes sprained his right ankle in training camp. "I went up for the rebound and came down on someone's foot and rolled my ankle," Budinger said. "I tried to get up and continue playing, but my ankle wouldn't do it." Home sweet home Signed to fill in for Yao Ming, Brad Miller had struggled early in the season, losing the job for several games to Jordan Hill while slowly coming back from an offseason ankle sprain. But with Yao out, Miller got his first start and had his best game, scoring 23 points with eight rebounds and five assists, all season highs, to spark the Rockets to the win. "Obviously, playing at home for me adds a little bit extra," Miller said. "I get to see the fellas … my mom. It feels good to win at home." Miller, who played at Purdue in nearby West Lafayette, Ind., had purchased more than 100 tickets for friends and family. Guard Courtney Lee, who is from Indianapolis, bought about 30 tickets and also had a strong game, scoring nine points in 15 minutes on 4-of-6 shooting. Bud's been in a slump lately and his defense seems to be worse. Hope he breaks out of it with his time off.
Just when Bud starts to come around again, he gets hurt........again. I just hope it doesn' take him another 7 games to get back to form, again.
four rockets players with sprained ankle! has to be the chinese shoes, stop wearing them!! Im just joking, btw.
Obviously he's referring to Lee getting a lot of Bud's minutes at the 3, opening the door for Taylor to get PT at the 2.
ahh i see...but both Martin and shane can go for 37-38 mins, leaving only about 20 mins, which could all go to lee..plus maybe we'll see ish and lowry in the backcourt? Who knows, i dont think it's a sure thing though.
Looks like he is unlikely to play tonight, but considered day to day http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/7293648.html
