Only Qualifications is that they had to be Houston Rockets for more than 3 years. Mine is

    Olajuwon
    Moses Malone
    Charles
    Drexler
    John Lucas???????

Lucas was really the only point guard I could think of

    Hakeem Olajuwon
    Moses Malone
    Rudy Tomjonovich
    Calvin Murphy
    Ralph Sampson

    Reserves;

    Clyde Drexler (really a blazer)
Charles Barkley ( not in his prime as a Rock)
    Mike Newlin
Elvin Hayes (should have been his whole career)
Bill Willoughby ( I just like to remember him blocking Kareem's sky hook)
    Mike Dunleavy (tough as nails)
John Lucas ( Drugs..what more can you say?)

    C: Olajuwan/Moses/Hayes
    PF: Barkley/Sampson/Thorpe
    SF: Rudy/McCray
    SG: Drexler/Murphy/Newlin/Lewis Lloyd
    PG: Lucas/Cassell

Newlin & Lloyd could be on injured reserve.

Could this team dominate if they could have been assembled.

Good call on lloyd, the only guy I ever saw who could check the Magic man. Too bad, he got high before the games, though.

Lloyd checked Magic? You sure you're not thinking about Mitchell Wiggins? I don't remember, but did Lloyd ever play defense? All I remember is his best plays were the fast break and the open-court-one-on-one drive.

you gotta go with the following:

    T-horpe
    H-orry
    O-lajuwon
    M-axwell
    A-nd
    S-mith

it has got to be the only starting lineup in the history of sports where the first letters of their last names (including the 'And' spelled out the owner's - Charlie Thomas - name)

I guess we have more "kids" posting in here than I thought. Moses Malone was the Houston Rockets in the late 70's and early 80's. He should be listed on everyone's all-time-Rocket team.

    C- Hakeem
    PF- Malone
    SF- Rudy T
    SG- Murphy
    PG- Lucas

    Amen BobbFin,

Moses was every bit as good and dominating in his prime as Hakeem was in his.

We were lucky to have them both.

    Dr. OF DUNK:
Llyod, if I remember correct, played magic as well as I seen anyone. Of course, he was also my favorite player back then, and Magic, well, I hated him with a passion! Those damn laker teams, you know. Anyway, game after game I remember Llyod challenge magic offensively and defensively, and after both him and wiggins got booted for drug use, I guess, maybe, my mind ran with the thought of how good he could have been.
