I believed u just got robbed big time from that trade. Noah > Love (+fg% +rb + blk) and Curry is projected to be top 5 fantasy talent. I hope u were joking
a lot of offensive big men nowadays can't play defense or grab rebounds. sad sight to see. at least the PGs are back.
This. He's such a big guy with a nose for the ball and a nice shooting stroke. Why can't he finish around the rim better? Granted, if you get 31 boards it doesn't matter what your fg% is!
beasley appears to finally "get it" after his injury. him and love form a pretty good front court. hopefully they can develop some chemistry
Because he's not tall and doesn't have hops. Think of Chuck Hayes except not nearly that bad off. Love has mastered the arts of (1) anticipating where the ball is going to carom off and (2) holding down players next to him down without getting a foul called.
I didn't bother with the entire thread. But I can't help but think that somehow we could have: Love - Gay - Head In our lineup.

That's a BS excuse. At the 2008 draft combine he had the same 35" max vertical as Michael Beasley and he's freaking 6'10. He also has nowhere near the physical limitations Chuck Hayes has. I like Kevin Love but he really needs to fix this part of his game, it's shameful.
I was actually surprised looking back at how high his vertical was, he just doesn't display it much out on the court...
He's not 6'10''. He's not even 6'8'' without shoes. According to NBA combine measurements, he's 6'7.75'' without shoes, and 6'9.5'' in shoes. So, yes, if you round up his "in shoes" height, he may be 6'10''. But damn, white boy wore some thick shoes that day.
No it isn't. Combine numbers aside, when you watch Love play, he doesn't get off the ground much. Beasley doesn't strike me as a great leaper, but he has more vertical action during live games than Love. While Kevin Love isn't nearly as limited as Chuck Hayes, but he still isn't very athletic. He's an example of getting the most out of what he has. It's good to see a guy with limited hops, very little lateral quickness and zero explosion do well. I'll bet you Love is shorter than Durant. I don't believe for one minute he's 6'10. That's a joke of a measurement.
...and Michael Beasley is 6'7.0"...and Blake Griffin is 6'8,5"...and Dejuan Blair is 6'5.25"...what's your point? I don't know about you, but I play basketball in shoes. There's no way you can spin this to make it seem as though Love is at some great disadvantage and shooting 39% from the floor is acceptable. Love isn't an amazing athlete but he has adequate size and athleticism for his position. The biggest culprit for him is and has always been body fat and conditioning. Even he's admitted the reason he couldn't play big minutes last season was his own poor conditioning. He may simply tire out or choose to conserve energy by not jumping as high as he can while others can play all out for a full game. The measurements are what they are.
You specifically mentioned Love's problems finishing around the rim. His height and poor hops are why. Not rocket science. His lack of conditioning and body fat contribute to the problem. But the guy has to figure out what his capabilities are and pass the ball out more often or learn how to draw contact and get to the line when he's close in. Nobody disagrees regarding his overall FG% from the floor. He'll figure out a way to get back up to about 45%. Love is an example of how combine numbers don't tell the story as well as observing a player during live games. He wouldn't be the first player who was in the best shape of his life for the measurements.
