It's hard to watch! Besides his outstanding performance vs. the Lakers, he's been nonexistant! He was the go to guy off the bench last year, now you cring when he shoots! Game by game, I'm loosing confidence in his ability to get the ball in the hole. There are many problems with this team so far, but he's been one of the biggest!

What to y'all think? Is he as bad to watch for you as it is for me, and do you think if he was to get his percentage back up, we would have probably won a couple more games?

I love Chase even though he is slumping. Opponents still respect his 3 point threat.

I just don't want to ever, ever, EVER see Jeffries out there again. Never again. I would rather activate Pat/Pat or even J. Taylor over Jeffries.

He has no confidence in his shot -- he pulled up and then adjusted his shot at the top of his release multiple times, making errant passes to teammates. He'll find his way, but damn, he's in a serious funk right now.

Maybe he needs to slash and get some easy baskets to get his confidence up. He's taking the right shots, they're just not falling. His shot will come around, it's just a matter of time.

Budinger is suffering from not having a low-post scoring threat. Miller provides offense but he does most of his damage outside of the paint.

Plus, the lack of offense from the other perimeter players - Lowry/Smith and Lee - allows the opposing team to focus their defense on Budinger. He doesn't seem to be getting the same scoring opportunities as last year, and that may be affecting his shooting rhythm.

^^^ One more thing. Lee is a good defender but he isn't big enough to guard the bigger, better small forwards, so that job goes to Budinger. Last season, Budinger would have received help in that department from Ariza or Battier, who could take on the other team's offensive threat. This year, he's on his own a lot of times.

The second-year player has a lot to figure out right now.

He just needs to keep shooting until he gets his confidence back and starts to feel comfortable. His shot will be there, I'd rather him work on his defense.

Guess I did get one star in the end. Dunno why, everything I said was true, and wouldn't know why anyone else would thing otherwise.

But to answer another persons question, of course I'm happy to see him get some swagger back tonight. It was a big reason we won the game. Vice-versa when he is in an unbearable slump.

Congrats CHASE! Let's just pray for a quick and speedy recovery!
