Do you recall footage from way back when Yao was a rookie? They were running current through his legs... I wonder if they've done that lately.

Now, nobody thinks it,given his status as of lately.......and you are right we do think our assets are more valuable than they actually are.Give me any player and i could explain why any other team would not be as high on them as many fans are. There is plenty potential but what does that matter if it isnt tapped into....ever?

    it is written.

    25% is quite the exaggeration....

and how much force you can produce is determined by the type and amount of fast twitch fibers you have, not by simply training them to fire more quickly...which is what i think you meant. Some people are born with a larger % of them, but some have a higher percentage of slow twitch. I think it's clear where yao fits.

This is a sign of things to come. Yao healing in one week from an injury it takes Aaron Brooks 4-6 weeks to heal.

I agree. Yao is not a franchise player anymore and he should not be the focal point on this team. He does not have the health to carry
this team deep into the playoff, let alone a championship.

With that said, I am thinking if Yao really wants to win a ring, he
should consider going to a contender and be a situational back-up
player. Let the rockets rebuild with the money. It's a win-win situation.

If I can have my wish, I like to see him in a Laker uniform and team up with the true warrior and beat Miami in the championship game. It would be good for the NBA and fans around the world to see Miami get defeated, most importantly, it would be nice to see Yao get a ring for a good guy like him.

After he retires from basketball, he can come back to Houston and
be part of the rocket organization. (a big man coach, may be ?)

    Let's trade Yao for Bosh.
DM has been drooling all over Bosh during the whole summer. Now it's a good chance to get him.

    Joking?
Well, would be a good situation for Yao.
He gets to go play with Wade and James, small team, who really need a decent center.
    And DM gets his man.

Agreed. I think Yao can be a hell of a roll player for 15 to 18 minutes a night. comes in scores 10 points pulls down 7 boards and that way his career will be extended as well with less stress on his frame.

The way I see it you have to make a tough decision at the end of the year as far as contracts go, why not play him normal minutes and see if he is really healed? If he breaks down again, you can move on and not re sign. If he can play without break down, you are much more comfortable signing him to another deal. This 24 minute thing doesnt really make sense to me.
