"This is F***** Up" i havent heard this on the forum so i have to say it maybe it will be locked up cuz of the harsh title but its true: I dont know how the show is called but last night around 11:00pm i was watching a show were theres a Bald guy and usually a chunky fat guy who go down through a list of things about sports and discuss about it well last night in that list was ROCKETS i thought they were going to give us props or something but no all they said was that LES was a MORON? just because he stated that the rockets have a nice team and gaurantees the playoffs and maybe more. But the worse thing is who said it the special guest i guess was DAVID ALRIDGE he said les was a MORON. I hate this guy! Did anyone else catch that?
DAVID ALRIDGE and Ahmad Rashaad have always been against the Rockets. It was like this during the 1994 season.
Davis- DA and amad rashad were allways against the rockets? what are some of thier quotes that made you believe that?
Sometimes its a wonder that Ahmad Rashad can speak at all. He spends most of his time licking Jordan and Kobes ass. David Aldridge is not that bad. I refuse to believe he called Les a "moron".
Anybody who allegedly covers basketball, and calls a basketball executive a "moron" for having an opinion about their team has zero credibility. If you claim to be a basketball expert and you have to call somebody a moron because they think they have a really good team then that tells me that you don't know or care anything about sports, you're just doing it to try and get attention for yourself. So whoever that was that called Les a moron, they have zero credibility and I'm pretty sure that other GMs around the league took notice of the genius that called him a moron.
Carleton just said this about the Rox on his current ESPN chat wrap: "I don't think they'll be a playoff team, because I think Ming will struggle at times this year making the adjustment to the NBA"
Anybody who makes a living by sitting on their ass and watching sports all day can't be too smart can they?? I think this is just another case where you have to look at they type of person that is saying somehting like this, and then just regard what they said as just another stupid thing that they ramble about.
This just in: "Ahmad Rashad had his top lip sewn on the Jordan's Nuts and Bolts, and his bottom Lip was sewn on to Kobe's Beef."
I dunno. To make a living by sitting around watching sports is pretty freakin' genius to me. Its up there with video game testing and being the guy who rubs oil on super models during photo shoots.
I saw that too. It was David Aldridge and some "fat guy". Amad Rashad was not it at all. (I guess he was off blowing Kobe, according to the posters who present themselves like they would know) Definately they bashed Les for making such a statement. The word moron was definately used. However, at the end they softened the bomastic approach. Fat guy says "but this team does have potential" Aldrige retorts something like "Oh yea, check back in three years". Made me think they interperted Les's statements as right now. I used to get the dish, which didn't have this channel. My wife switched us to cable to get road runner. Is this what I have been missing?
This is what Aldridge had to say into today's chat about the Rockets. Kenny (H-Town): DA, can you tell me how you think the Rockets will do this year. I've read everything from making the playoffs (maybe even past the first round), to being a bottom-feeding team again. The opinions are too far apart. David Aldridge: I don't think they'll be a playoff team, because I think Ming will struggle at times this year making the adjustment to the NBA But I think Houston does have a bright future with Yao, Francis, Mobley, Thomas and Griffin. Rudy is a terrific coach and Carroll Dawson does a great job as GM bringing in talented guys. http://dynamic.espn.go.com/espn/chat/chatESPN?event_id=2435
Also Aldridge take on Francis having a shot at the MVP award Keith (Sacramento): What do you think of this? LEAGUE MVP for 2002-2003: Steve Francis. David Aldridge: Interesting. I know Steve can't wait to get back out there. He's not had any migraine relapses yet and the Rockets should be much improved this season. Having said that, can't see Franchise walking away with the hardware.
Yeah, I'd take his job in a heartbeat, but like I said, we shouldn't have to take his words like scripture, he's only a sports writer. (And not a very good one at that)
Back in 1994/95, Ammad Rashaad was known to bash the Rockets. It was his wife that was a fan of the Rockets, while Ammad was rooting for the Knicks and the Magic. Ammad didn't like the Rockets until the outspoken Barkley joined. He knew that if he said anything bad about the Rockets Charles would whup has arse! David Aldridge has always nonchalantly said, "the Rockets have no chance. Now for more interesting news....The Bulls, blah, blah, blah..."
