Bosh did fine, Udonis Haslem failed to guard Millsap (who also got lucky on these 3s.) :)

    glad someone is thinking ITT.

This summer people were proposing crazy deals (lots of which included scola some scola and brooks/martin AND the draft picks). Just because scola is playing well and bosh isn't doesn't change a thing to me. Scola is old, bosh would be the future.

the yao era is ending. scola/battier are wasting their primes on this mediocre team

I was at the Heat vs Jazz game yesterday. I am SOOOOOOO happy we did not take Bosh. Milsap exposed Bosh bad. he put 46 on him.

Scola was so the smarter decision.

Haslem would've done fine for them. They wasted on signing RuPual

Scola is playing phenomenal basketball keep Bosh away. Bosh does not have a killer instinct and is soft inside. Scola has a killer instinct and is hard inside.

    Just say "No"

We are just so luck that we did not get him. He is so soft, overrated and overpaid. Jazz's PF dropped 43 points on him, are you kidding me? Plus that he is ugly too. I just keep Scola

It's hard to compare Bosh and Scola due to their situations but what if we had traded Scola for Amar'e at last year's deadline?

You guys are being brainwashed by flashy offensive stats. I don't think most people understand how trully terrible Scola is on defense. While Bosh is not Duncan or Garnett, he is a significant upgrade defensively and probably a wash offensively in terms of talent.

However, as far as fit is concerned, he is a massive upgrade. Our PnR and elbow jumpers would be converted at a muh higher clip than with Scola. Toss in a propensity to draw fouls and convert them at a high rate....

The reason he looks bad in Miami is the same reason he did in Toronto, its a bad fit. There is no true C or post defender and he is forced to play out of position. Here that would not be a problem.

I love Scola, might be my favorite player on the team. But if you can get Bosh for him and JJ, you do it in a heartbeat.

You're underrating Scola's D....As I always say, even a duo of Olajuwon/Rodman at his prime wouldn't be seen that nice with the HORRIBLE perimeter D of the 0-5 Rockets....

BTW, Bosh is overrated clearly, it was adviced since the days he played in Toronto, is a guy caring more about his stats than about the team.......
Scola OTOH would have been more useful to the Heat for isntance, cause he's a guy that being a Superstar in Europe, agreed to come off the banch to help his team, and still was the best player...Bosh doesn't have a fraction of Scola's team awareness....as seen in Miami....his games suffers when he's not the go-to guy...

Scola is not a good defender. However, he is not terrible either. He doesn't have the tools to be a good defender. Slow laterally, and can't jump. But he is strong and he hustles. Most importantly, he is a very good defensive rebounder. He boxes out very well. Defensive rebounding is an important defensive element for a big man.

Anyway, the signing of Bosh just shows that Pat Riley is not as smart as he makes you believe. Giving a guy max money who does not fit your two superstars is just dumb.

I said it before and I say it again. Bosh is not overrated. He just isn't a superstar level player. And he doesn't fit in Miami's situation. His skill set would fit the Rockets very well probably better than Scola. And he is definitely more talented than Scola. But his attitude sucks. In contrast, Scola exemplifies the Rockets culture.

Deck, after sleeping on it, I agree with you. Yao is a risk worth taking IMO. Your point on why have both Luis and Bosh is valid too. Like I said yesterday, Bosh has not shown me he's a max guy. Yes he has to share the stage with two other guys that need the ball, so it's no surprise his numbers are down. What I would have liked to seen thus far from Bosh is better rebounding and a willingness to mix it up more on D; I've seen neither.

Brand me a flip flopper on Bosh, I'm ok with that. Dude just really seems to lack heart and fire. So far he hasn't even looked like a solid enough role player let alone a max guy.
