Why don't we wait and see what happens first and then decide what to do with him. You have to give Yao at least a season to prove himself before evaluating him.

Make this thread in a year and then we can talk.

Have faith. Negativity is the bane of successful marriage.

In all honesty, no. As the Chron mentioned, we may actually be the team we've played like to start this season. Everyone's optimistic that we'll turn this around and right the ship, but what if we really are a bottom feeder this season?

I don't see a viable challenger to the Lakers this season. Gasol's been playing out of his mind, Odom's been on a tear, and the Black Mamba's at it again.

Isn't this the same type of predictions that most of us had in 09? Back when we almost beat the Lakers and most likely would have gone to the finals if Yao didn't break his foot?

    Key words of your post.
    Almost.
    Yao, broken foot.

Injuries are part of the game, your post pretty much contradicted any type of argument you had for Yao.

So your saying that Yao has more chance of getting injured than he does of playing in the playoffs?

No, I'm saying he has a better chance of getting injured if he gets the minutes that everybody here seems to demand.

Excellent idea!!! Love would make a great center!!! I wonder why more teams haven't thought of playing power forwards as centers?

Yep score 140, give up 150 every night. Someone already said it but Love is like a younger Scola. He can anchor your offense, but you can't count on him for D. Sticking him at the C spot is asking for trouble. Anyway if you want young potential Cs we already have one: Jordan Hill. Hill is really a pf but he mans the C spot adequately.

    Yao's averaging 12.8/6.5/1.8, with a slight down 48.7 FG% and an improved 93.8% FT, and that's in 21 minutes.

His numbers of PF is a concern but that could be because 1. he's recovering so still a step slower and 2. he doesn't need to "watch out" for PFs anymore cause he knows he will only play 24 mins.

But overall, if those numbers don't indicate good progress, I don't know what you were expecting.

Yao is either far from done or done imo. We just need to wait and see.

Why is Yao done..?? I just dons't get it, he has been playing fearly well for a guy who hasn't played in nearly 2 years, so please stop making those assumption.

Oh and no, Love is not center he is PF.
