In my opinion, Hakeem was every bit as athletic as Dwight Howard, and I am not exaggerating. He had freakish hops, quickness, and open court speed.

hmm, dwight if anything is slightly taller than hakeem, unless hakeem has shrunk.

kobe's listed height is 6'6, wade's is 6'4 i think, no idea where you're getting those listed heights from?

I have no idea why height matters though, when it comes to athleticism, you don't deserve a discount as there's no real benefit to height whatsoever, strength and power certainly do though.

Hakeem's listed height is 7 flat. DH I think is around 6'11.

There's no real benefit to height but I think a tall guy who is athletic is more impressive than an equally athletic short guy.

The general consensus is you lose athleticism the larger you are. Someone like Nate Robinson can jump and soar like an eagle, but when you get to Shawn Bradley or Manute Bol or Yao Ming you start moving like a turtle. That's why I think a 6'9 player like Tmac is more athletic than Kobe and esp. Dwade.

Did you really expect 4 rockets to make the list?

But Hakeem should be on there, he and Dr. J are more athletic than Gerald Wallace. I would even make an argument for Vince Carter.

It seems like a new wave definition of "athletic" has taken over and it completely disregards coordination and body control which I think makes up a great deal of athleticism. (And why I dont consider someone like Ariza athletic)

watch the video of swight training with hakeem, he looks a tiny bit taller to me, but it's pretty negligible either way.

yeah you lose athleticism as you get taller, what that means though is...you're less athletic.......so in a comparison of athleticism, it means....
