Ok, we know it's a dopy show, but what does it go to show you about who wins and loses in this world. We've got some interesting things to think about here. At first it came down to who had the physical skills/talent to survive on island, and now it has moved to who has the charm/charisma to survive, and thirdly it's moving toward who has the alliance/Chemistry and Teamwork to survive. Lastly it will be who has won over the public. What are the parallels? Is that how you win a championship? Do you first aquire the raw talent (hakeem olajuwon). Do you then remove those that have talent, but who are hurtful to the team (Sampson, Maxwell). Do you then build upon charm and friendship (Years of playing together). Do you then form alliances with other players who are willing to help you (Drexler). Then do you win over the public and make believers of your fans (Choke to clutch City)....... Maybe. The lakers. Aquired talent in Oneal and Kobe. Rid themselves of poor coaches and attitudes. Played together for a few years. Aquired Rice. Win over the public and fans support? Seemed to happen. I don't know about the other recipes. But If I were to guess Chicago wasn't that far away from this recipe either. ------------------ humble, but hungry. Interesting observation. Just remember though. Maxwell was an intrigal part of championship #1. Remember the shot...... Gene Peterson, Game 7 of 1994 Championship "Hakeem takes it down low, posts up, shakes, shimmeys,...he's in trouble, shot clock at 5 gotta do something...skip pass to Maxwell for 3...Yeeeeeeesssssssss" How sweet it was. ------------------ [This message has been edited by bigdaddyD (edited July 14, 2000).]
