my favorite thing to get is in the jack daniels bar...portobello burger, which is basically a burger with jack cheese and a patty-sized portobello on top. i just ask them to hold the meat and add an extra mushroom, and then get the lettuce and tomato and all that good stuff. great option for vegetarians. i used to only get the pretzel and then dip it in a mustard/chopped onion concoction.
when I've had season tickets or were going to games regularly I would eat before or after most of the time. When I only get to go to 4 or fewer games a year, I like to eat at the venue to help enhance the whole experience.
Went to the game last night as well. Food is so overpriced. Just went to Taco Bell after the game haha
We have a winner. At this point not living in Houston anymore and not being able to go to a game, I would take any of that crappy food just to be in the stadium with Rockets fans.
So disappointing how few options Toyota Center seems to have with their concessions. Was very tempted to get food last night because I hadn't eaten yet but nothing at all looked appetizing. 8 bucks for a personal pizza? The only time I tried the hot dog there was during the Open House when TC first opened and it plain sucked. MMP has much, much better food imo.
Sometimes, I eat before going to the game, yet I end up buying something to eat. I get my hot dog plain, and i put mustard and relish and jalapeƱos on it. Sometimes, I get the three meat barbecue. If I want to snack on something, I usually get popcorn or a pretzel. I remember one time, I wanted cheese with my pretzel, and so they charged me an extra dollar. They put the cheese on a plate. It was pretty funny.
i rarely ever eat at the games cause it's just too much money. i just get the drinking at eating out the way at lucky's...mostly the drinking.
The last game I went to (last Sunday) I got the Philly Cheesteak. It was mediocre at best, I mean they didn't even have the right kind of cheese.
Law of supply and demand, if there are suckers willing to pay $8.50 for a hamburger or nachos, NOTHING will change. If nobody buys this expensive overpriced crap, trust me, the prices will drastically lower.
Looks like Toyota center is headed back to pepsi. I'm not happy about it I prefer sprite over Sierra mist when my throat gets achey breaky. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/life/hoffman/7285340.html
paying all that money. might as well eat out at a buffet before u come and have a beer while watching the game. beer or any beverage
I was wondering that when I got a drink yesterday, they had a big fat sticker of coke/sprite in front of the fountain, but the fountain itself, was pepsi products. I am kinda happy with pepsi being back so I can get my Mountain Dew again as far as the BBQ, they do have it on the second level concourse, behind sec 423/424 to be exact, the corner area. 3 meat plate is like $10.50 while a sandwich/poboy is like $8.50 i'm not too fond on getting food there, especially being a season ticket holder, usually try to hold it out or eat before the game, but sometimes, cave in. Sunday's game I got chili chese fries/large pepsi, turned out like $12.50, that sucked my wallet. the only food I'd put up the money for, is their Red/White Bistro, if you ever have the chance and about $40+ to spend, its worth it. Some games, they have all you can eat fillet mignon.
Dave where can I get free parking? Sunday was my first experience at Toyota center and I just paid 15 bucks to park right beside the arena cause I didn't know where to go and I didn't want to waste time finding parking
I don't park there anymore, usually just take a hotel shuttle but last time I did they had removed a lot of those free spots we used to use. Not sure about nowadays though.
Me and the wife keep meaning to try that but just end up doing something else. They don't let you in till 6 right? Just being stuffed during the game doesn't sound like fun.
