He's playing like an elite big man out there. At least offensively... I knew he was a monster after landry got traded but can he keep this up the entire season?

do you want an honest answer?

He can keep it up forever. (of course not counting an injury)

IMO he'll burn himself out if he keeps playing with this insane intensity. He just came off a monster summer where he had to be the heart and guts of the team and now he's having to do the same for the Rockets.

He needs a long break before the playoffs so he can give us all he's got. I love Scola due to his passion but I worry.

Why not? As long as Scola gets his shots, there is no reason why he can't put of these numbers every game.

But if Brooks, Martin, Yao, and Scola are playing at the same time, Scola is merely a 4th option under those circumstances. He will have to get his shots off offensive rebounds and hustle like we all know he can do.

I wish he could channel a little bit of it into his defensive ability.

Luis Scola is an All-Star. He could easily average a double this season. 18-10 20-10 aren't too lofty of expectations from Luis Scola.

What he's doing is not a fluke. It took him a couple years too really get his feel for the leadue but you could see he was really getting it last year. And even before that. But now he's getting the respect he deserves. Especially after the FIBA tourney where he put Argentina on his back once again. And they overachieved to a third place finish.

The whole season. He might be hitting his peak. It happened with Nash. This might be his first year he truely has adjusted to the NBA at his fullest potential perhaps? I think Scola is the best player we have and should play as many minutes as possible. Unfortunately he was waisted overseas like the NBA has done to many of our players. So Adelman is saving him for later.

Luis doesn't have to be a main option. He gets a lot of his points doing the dirty work down low. A few elbow shots here a couple offensive putbacks, and a little scoop. You got a double machine waiting to happen.

Most Power Forwards and Centers have no blocking abilities. There are very few. Then half of those guys don't have half the offensive and boarding capabilities that Scola has.

I would like to see Scola get more echarges. I think he gets less defensive calls because of all the complaining of his so called flopping.

I just don't understand how weve lost so many games already(it seems) with so many offensive weapons on the roster.. i feel like brooks has been in a little slump and we just havent found our nitch yet. its not going to get easier without aaron either. i like lowry but we all know brooks is our guy to break down the defender for that jumper to ice the game now. Ish could break down his man but just couldnt put the ball in the basket. if brooks hadnt got hurt i think the rockets wouldve taken this game.. im truly sad to see the guy out....

i'm so glad the Rockets didn't gut the team including Scola, for Bosh. and people were crying about how overpaid Scola was.

He's starting to get doubled more often, unsurprisingly, and it'll be a test to see if he can continue to score and rebound at such a high level. I think the rebounding is a given, but we'll have to wait and see about the scoring.

    VIVA SCOLA!!

I often plead out loud at the TV screen, "Let the man work!" Dude's a work horse. Stamina's no factor for him. Might be the first NBA player to start in his fifties, since his game is more craft than athleticism-- and I hope he pulls that off as a Rocket!
