Honestly, AB wasn't bringing his best game in the first 5 games of the season. The guy needs a recharge. I think time off will greatly benefit him.

Any chance of getting Garrett Temple from the Spurs? It's not like he's part of the rotation over there.

I think the first 5 games he's been too distracted by his contract situation. In addition, I think he's been getting a bit too comfortable with his role on the team-- i.e. he doesn't feel threatened knowing that Lowry was really brought back as a backup. When the team starts winning and his starting position is really threatened by the play of Lowry and Ish, I hope he starts bringing his A game back.

If he wants to get paid, he has to show he can help the team win. He is still in scoring mode and that is not what this deep Rockets team needs anymore. If he can't adjust we may have to part ways, but this time off will hopefully give him time to see what he needs to do when he gets back.

A shame, I also fear that due to Lowry being bedridden and now Brooks, we will over work Smith, who may well develop into a PG of the future for us (I think either Brooks or Lowry are gone by next season).

I''m thinking this along with Hill being shown to be useful also proved that to help Morey see the light in not picking up Erica. My money is that we will see Lee, Budinger or Taylor take turns at pseudo point.

People, i hate to be the one to tell you all this but we are witnessing the beginning of the end for Aaron Brooks as a Houston Rocket. That ankle injury was the worst thing that could have happened to Brooks because it has put him one step closer to being traded.

It's big opportunity to see what Smith is capable of.

    Agreed.

When we shocked the league without McGrady (or even Yao or Deke by the 2nd round) and pushed the Fakers to the brink of elimination, that was with Brooks running the point.

People need to stop being so short sighted. Yes, we've had a bad start, but it's not Brooks' fault.

I serious don't really want to talk about AB getting traded :(

I guess he need to learn more about sharing the ball and how to defence against harder PG positions

Get well as soon as you can but don't rush it mate

Brooks is still my favourite player out there in the L.

    This is Ish Smith's moment.

....will he grasp it...or just let it slip.

Was thinking about the same. He did ok for us. It would be nice to get him back.

But I guess Spurs want no part of us and Morey in any trade (see Scola).
