I'm on the Pro-Brooks team. Full steam!

And again, why are we talking about age and length of career here? As I've already said, Aaron Brooks is still on his rookie-scale contract. If we are talking about the career longevity of a player who is still on his rookie contract...they why don't we talk about how your kids are going to be grandparents? yea, whether they are going to be good grandparents or not, it doesn't matter, cos you'll be dead by then. lol/.

Actually, you know what? You really really should realise this. a **** talking

Brooks stats are not the same as Mike Bibby's were back in the Kings days. Yes the points and assists numbers are similar but Bibby was shooting 46% from the field and 38% from behind the arc when they were at their best. Also Bibby is a bigger guard and was a better defender back then than Brooks currently is. Furthermore, Bibby wasn't really a shoot first pg. Before he came to the Kiings from Vancouver his assist numbers were around 8 and his scoring numbers were around 13ppg. Adelman just asked him to shoot more so he did. The difference is that Bibby is naturally a better facilitator than Brooks.

Terry Porter was also another Adelman pg on a Blazers team that made it to the finals in 1990. Porter averaged 9 assists a game back then which shows that Adelman can be very successful with a pg that is a passer. Your belief that Adelman only wins with pgs with low assist numbers is incorrect. A team has to be equally balanced. The Rockets currently have 3 good scoring threats in Scola, Yao, and Martin so we don't need a pg that can only do the same. The early 2000 Kings only had Webber and Peja so having Bibby take shots was fine and actually needed. This Rockets team has plenty of scoring already so we need a pg that can get the other three guys the ball and play good/solid defense.

Great post and your arguments are dead on. It is hard to argue with Brooks junkies who are so blinded by the thought that a pg needs to be a scorer first.

So are you saying that we trade Kyle?

If Aaron come from the bench and Smith is so good for team, then Kyle is the odd man out.

Did you forget the game against Spurs? only 2 consecutive FT missed prevented the Rockets from winning there....

And then the wolves back to back....

coincidence that the forced inclusion of a court vision PG improved the team that much?

for those making fun of the T-wolves.

They played the worst team in the NBA last night. They at least came into the Area with a W.

    Why are you here?

Is it in your nature to troll?

What is the point of coming in and saying the "Rockets are the worst team in the league"

    Why?

Because people need to realize that as constructed we can't be looking down at teams when we aren't anything special.

Too many homers. Can our guys play better? Yes, but A little perspective is a good thing.

Do you honeslty think the Rockets were the worst team in the league before last night?

Because perspective would say that they have had 40% turnover of their roster, and had a tough preseason, and a very tough opening schedule.

Perspective would say they are 2 made Freethrows and one blown defensive assignment from having 2 more wins.

What exactly did you post that showed any perspective?

you are what your record is.

two missed free throws? way to choke and lose.

tough preseason? go play intramurals brother.

tough opening schedule? Hornets don't seem to have a problem.

We are just not that good. Wake up.

We are certainly not that good right now, but there are reasons behind that.

Perspective would say it is a long season and there is time for the team to get it together.

History would also tell you this......

Keep it in perspective, if that is what you are truly trying to do.

Maybe u need to polish up on ur history a little. Iverson can still play, but his attitude is garbage. Brandon had career ending knee surgeries, it was not his play. Might Mouse played 13 yrs or so. Michael Adams was a all star. How many ball dominating pg's have won or even competed for a ring in the last 20 yrs?

I really dont know why i even entertained the thought.
