Clippers Looking to Trade Baron Davis

Can’t imagine there are a lot of takers, given Davis‘ exorbitant contract. From Marc Spears: “The Los Angeles Clippers are exploring whether anyone has interest in trading for point guard Baron Davis. Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro recently criticized Davis’ conditioning, and the Clippers won their first game of the season – a 107-92 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder – with Davis out of lineup because of a swollen left knee. Including this season, Davis has three years and $41.8 million left on his contract.”

his coach is criticizing his conditioning.

    he has nagging injuries.

he is owed $41M over 3 years.

... my guess is he stays a clipper. who the heck would agree to take him?

Haven't liked this guy since he revealed his inner brat as a Hornet. One of the most overpaid, overrated players in the league this decade.

Uncoachable, lazy, and blackballs his own teammates on the court if he doesn't like them. I'll boycott the Rockets if they bring this loser to town.

Thank God I grabbed Eric Bledsoe in the fantasy league in which I drafted Baron Davis.

Davis has great talent, but he's sort of like the Serena Williams of hoops-- looking like he'd rather be doing something else with his life sometimes.

    I would do...

    Aaron Brooks
    Jared Jeffries/Shane Battier/Chuck Hayes(expirings)
    2012 HOU pick

    for

    Baron Davis (albatross contract)
    Al-Farouq Aminu (2010 8th pick)
    DeAndre Jordan

Wouldn't touch that with a pole.

Baron has a HUGE HUGE HUGE contract. I'd only Take it if they gave us Their 2011 Pick.

It's like watching T-Mac part deux.

An injury prone player with a lazy work ethic who when healthy is a good passer which gets negated by a terrible shot selection as his younger teammates appear to have grown tired of him...

Yeah not a huge fan on Aminu. seems like he was drafted on potential alone, not my type of pick, or morey's for that matter.

not to mention the clippers probably wouldn't do that. I mean their future big man and their 8th pick for essentially AB + Expirings? Even with the salary dump not worth it.

I'd trade Jeffries and Battier for him....and Blake Griffin

In all seriousness Al-Farouq Aminu looks like a rich man's Ariza if given time to develop. I'd seriously take a look at that talent.

He meant "point guards" with zero playmaking ability.

Guys like Francis, AI and Starbury can score but they have retarted bball IQ and don't know how to set up an offense or run plays.
