Owen Wilson Plays Hutch to Stiller's Starsky Wed Sep 25, 3:09 AM ET By Michael Fleming NEW YORK (Variety) - Owen Wilson will join Ben Stiller in "Starsky & Hutch," an action comedy set for a February start. The Warner Bros. film takes its inspiration from the ABC series with Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) and David Soul (Hutch), which bowed in 1975. Stiller is playing Starsky and Wilson will play Hutch. Glaser and Soul played hip, streetwise cops with a well-drawn relationship often credited for the show's four-year run. The feature will be contemporized and will be updated and will focus on the formation of the duo's partnership. Todd Phillips ("Road Trip"), who wrote the last draft of the script with Scott Armstrong, will direct. Stiller and Wilson have worked together several times, including on pictures "The Royal Tenenbaums," "Zoolander" and "Meet the Parents." ----- and still no word on who will play Huggy Bear!
OMG this has turned into an Owen Wilson thread!! "I'm on mescaline" "Did you say you were on 'mescaline'"?
Those teo guys are hilarious. Shanghai Noon was one of my favorite movies. Meet the Parents was pretty good too.
I got in early on some wireless IPO's, and they just skyrocketed. Alot of Benjamins to be made, but I dont have to tell you. So hows your portfolio?
Glad to see this movie is gonna happen...for awhile it looked like it was a no go. It's been mentioned that Snoop is the front runner for Huggy Bear. os
