That's not it at all. I'm calling the Democrats stupid for not fighting back against the myths and misinformation being spread by the Tea Party and GOP. The job is to inform the voters. Once they are informed I'm convinced they won't be stupid enough to do the bidding of big business and billionaires.

The idea that voters were voting for smaller government in this election as opposed to general anger.
The Democrats spent millions and millions of dollars on this campaign and you think they didn't try to get their message out. Puh-leeze. They also had their usual suspects in the media doing their bidding as well (WaPo, NYT, LAT, ABC [except Jake Tapper], CBS, NBC, MSNBC, etc).
He didn't say he invented it. And what he said was accurate. http://www.snopes.com/quotes/internet.asp Here it shows how he is in fact partially responsible for the spread of the internet to the general population. I thought most people knew this by now. I didn't realize anyone would walk into that claim like a trap and have the facts show how much Al Gore did do, and the fact that he never claimed to have invented the internet. Please read the snopes link as well. It explains the defence between create and invent.
No they didn't try and get the message out about the myths and misinformation. They largely ran from it, and just hoped they were going away. Your post also brings up another good myth. The falsehood that the mainstream media is liberal. In fact the truth is often damaged by the media going out of there way to make it appear like they are giving each side an equal chance. Bush's claim that he tripled the aid to Africa was false. The media reported it, and very few even made note when some people objected. The few main stream media outlets that did comment on it acted like one group claimed he did and one group claimed he didn't and so both sides had their version of the story. The fact is the math shows that Bush did not triple the aid to Africa, and it was a false claim. The media hid from the facts in an effort to appear unbiased. There are a number of good articles on this. http://www.consortiumnews.com/2002/123102a.html I've posted this before, but I'll do it again. That story is telling. When you look at the NYT WaPo and other so called liberal leaning publications they got it wrong, never corrected it, and doing a google search it still says Bush Tripled the aid to Africa.
In some ways they have. A lot of our top scientists and engineers come from other places. In many ways we are like a baseball team that tries to pick up free agents without developing its farm system.
Uh, we've always done that. We are an immigrant nation. At any rate, I was told in no uncertain terms that America was going to be Europe and Japan's b****. Did not happen.
This is fun: Myths from the Democratic side: 1) The Bush tax cuts were only for the wealthy 2) The recession was all Bush and the Republican's fault 3) The Arizona immigration law is racist 4) If you disagree with Obama you are racist 5) You can spend your way out of a recession 6) Passing the stimulus bill will keep unemployment low 7) There are a lot of "shovel ready jobs" in the stimulus bill 8) The health care bill is deficit nuetral 9) The health care bill will lower medical insurance premiums 10) The Democrats lost control in congress in 1994 because they didn't pass a health care bill 11) Pelosi will drain the swamp in congress 12) The health care reform bill negotiations will be transparent where everyone can see 13) The Tea Party members are racist 14) The surge in Iraq will not work 15) Obama didn't hear anything bad come out of Jeremiah Wright's mouth in twenty years of attending his church 16) Cap and trade will be good for America I can come up with these all day. The Dem's are professionals when it comes to lying and distorting the truth. You people need to get over this election. The Democratic agenda was rebuked by the silent majority in this country. This country is still a little bit to the right of the center. A lot of people were fooled by Obama's "Hope and Change" message. People see through him now and this election proved it.
You are smoking something if you think the news media ain't liberal. It's just not liberal enough for you, but it is liberal to be sure.
No, it isn't. And unlike you I've posted evidence to support my position. The media is biased by any number of things, but liberalism if it exists is very far down the list. Money, pleasing executives, the desire to be first on a story, the desire not to be last on a story, mob mentality, and the desire to appear unbiased all play a greater a roll than liberalism does. As I pointed out the mainstream media could have easily slammed Bush for exaggerating the Africa numbers. The didn't. They ran with the Republicans figures, and didn't change even when the facts didn't support the Bush administration's claims. The same thing happened when Bush first moved into the white house and there were all the lies that the Clinton staff trashed the place removed W keys from the keyboards and stuff like that. The media ran with the story without trying to check it out first, and few made a big deal once all those stories turned out to be BS. In both cases they didn't want to appear like they weren't reporting the case while all the media outlets were. The truth whether conservative or liberal played no part in their reporting of the stories.
I don't know what school you went to but I wasn't told that when I was also in highschool in the late '80's. Also it wasn't that long ago when we produced more native educated scientists and engineers. That said I am all for immigration.
