According to a report the reason Yao has not signed is b/c there is a glitch in the wording in the contract however Les feels it can get worked out. Any one know anything further?

Well, if it's a "glitch," then hopefully it's just a small nothing. We need our boy signed now.

They did not say anything more than that, but Les made a statement that he feels that it can be corrected... I hope so too!

LATEST IS THAT LES WILL NOT ELABORATE ON THE "GLITCH" HE SAID THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON IT AND NO COMMENTS BEYOND THAT.

This well could be something minor, but I do not know about you guys, but I will not feel comfortable until I see him on the Compaq Cent floor.

Les' quote is "it is major, but not impossible". He also went on to say that "this is a fair organization" and that he "feels that we will give them a fai offer"

This report also stated that we still have not received clearance from the CBA.

If this report on 610 is correct,it sounds like trouble.
I hope someone from the Clutch Crew will be able to get more information about this report.

Remember there are several things that the Sharks and/or the CBA wanted which can't be put into a legal form! For example the NBA and Rockets could not make any agreement with them about their demand on Yao Mings earnings. Only Yao Ming could make such an arrangement with CBA/Sharks. This was a sticking point with N.Korea,in1998 when their big man wished to come to the NBA. It prevented him from leaving! The Rocks were only able to give word of mouth responses about Games in China, visiting Coaches and team player transfer. They would have to promise that Yao Ming would be available to play for the National Team, inorder to avoid a Ming Saga. I do hope that Les and Goldberg can pull this one off.

Didn't the Chron say a couple of days ago that Yao would definitely be signed? I hope they work things out, otherwise I will be very very very very unhappy.
