I was listening to the Lance and John show on 610 right now. Well the topic came up about Alou and baseball fans. Lance was saying that fans are not stupid or something like that (I dont really care about baseball conversation), but as an analogy he used clutchcity.net. He started talking about how there are many fan sited for basketball, baseball, etc. Right there I'm thinking "yeah clutchcity, talk about clutchcity). And right there he goes "There is this site called clutchcity.net". He went on to say how 2-3 guys on here know more about salary caps then anyone at that radio station. Guess he's been reading up on Nikestrad and Aelliot, etc... He said some other nice things about this site also, but now I dont remember. ------------------
Yeah, I heard that as well. He was talking about how the Astros announcers were criticizing Alou and that they were right to do so because today's fans are much more knowledgeable and don't want it sugar coated anymore. As an example, he went on to say that many posters on this site know more about Base Year Compensation than anyone at the station. I am not one of the posters he was referring to. ------------------
Damnit did I post this in the wrong forum, Oh GOD! now I will have the Serious Police after me. ------------------
.........and then he said that the fans knowledge will help our roster moves and have a serious effect on our game action. I saved ya, baby. You owe me one. ------------------ [This message has been edited by B-ball freak (edited July 14, 2000).]
