only a sociopath w/ a callous indifference to human life would authorize torture and lie his country into a war which killed hundreds of thousands and then make jokes about how he cant find "wmds" at a presidential dinner.

Obama extended the Patriot Act and tripled the troops in Afghanistan so they now outnumber those in Iraq. I guess the wars will be forgotten since leftists won't dare protest now that they are Obama's wars. They are too busy making humorous signs for Jon Stewart anyway. You have to stay hip.

    that's funny.

I don't think Bush is a racist at all. I do think he had a lot lower moments....

Number 1: Looking like a dear staring into headlights when told about 9/11 and continuing to read to children instead of taking action

Number 2: Getting on a plane and fleeing to Nebraska instead of flying to Washington

Number 3: Stock Market Crashing and commencement of financial crisis

Number 4: Declaration of no WMD found in Iraq revealing Bush had lied to take us to war

Number 5: Discovery of memo sent to Bush on august 12th warning of 9/11 attack

Number 6: FEMA's disaster reaction to Katrina and discovery push appointed someone with no disaster experience to run the organization

Number 7: Approval rating sinking to the lowest for any president since Nixon

Number 8: Losing congress so handidly in 2008

Number 9: Realization that Iraq war was not going to end anytime soon.

Number 10: West saying he doesn't care about black people.

At least the libs will always have Bush to beat up on no matter how bad they get their asses kicked at the ballot box.

As bad as things are, I can always brighten my mood by reminding myself that Dubya is no longer President.

this is a clear admission of a war crime. unfortunately, he will never be held accountable for it.

Almost 50 posts and no one noticed tha Bush said (in quotes) that it was his "one of the most disgusting moments of my presidency." It was the poster or writer who said it was his lowest moment. Now I have another book on my "to do" list.

There was more to the interview than what was quoted in the OP. This link has some of the transcript, including:
I'm guessing when Bush said "all time low" in his book that was close enough to "lowest moment".

Well they did get what, about 20 years out of Reagan? They needed a new whipping boy to blame everything on.

I'm sure those billions of dollars in cash and medical supplies Bush gave to African countries to help combat or at least contain the AIDS epidemic and improve healthcare was only for the white people though.

    Morons.

That is still pretty shallow. Again this is Kanye West not the ghost of MLK.

No, I don't think he was.

It wasn't just Kanye, it was the fact that such an idea was considered plausible enough to be expressed on national TV on a program designed to raise money for the relief effort. That gave it more substance than if it had been done in private or in public on a political radio or tv show. I'm surprised people have such a hard time understanding how upsetting West's comment could be on a personal level for Bush. Of course he's going to be hurt by it. And since he generally believes that he did the right thing most of the time in his presidency, why would his lowest point be something else?

Well I could relate to Bush. If Kanye said I don't care about black people in front in public, I would be pretty disheartened since I'm a fan of his.

Again this is Kanye West the guy who interrupted an award acceptance speech to blather about how the wrong person got the award.

Sure its hurtful but you have to consider who is delivering the comment. This just makes GW Bush sound shallow and petty that a celebrity known for doing stupid spontaneous stuff can bother him when there is so much other stuff. I mean what about Abu Ghraib? What about losing Congress in 2006? What about Pope John Paul II criticizing the US for going into Iraq? Heck what about an irate Iraqi throwing a shoe at him during a press conference?

Of all that stuff Bush says the most low point was freakin Kanye West?

Really I can't see why people are even defending this.

I think that's the point of this whole thread. As screwed up as this country is in so many ways after eight years with him in charge, how can he still be so out of touch as to think that he did the right thing most of the time?
