I mean, the Spurs are an older team and are not quite as aggressive as the other team we have faced this year. I am ready to see a recovering Yao face off against the not-so-tireless Spurs. We definitely have a shot at this next game so no need to doubt the Rockets.
He is gonna go off this game, he didn't look happy at all in his most recent interview. 20+ points, 10+ boards, 3+ blocks.
It is a discussion. Different factors play into a basketball game and I think some will work in Yao's favor unlike in our previous games. I wouldn't call it dreaming when there are reasons behind why the topic was brought up. It would be more like a prediction.
I mean dominant could be an exaggerated word But you can understand the point I am trying to get across to yall
I think the team will come out more focused, lets hope, but dude is still playing 24 minutes. I expect about the same from Yao, maybe when his minutes increase, his game will smooth out. Maybe the expectations are to heavy on the guy right now, coming back from a huge injury, four games in, and 24 minutes to make it happen. Now go out there and be the man again....not likely. Time. Even so, dare I say this is still the teams first win of the season. Yep.
i dont want him to be too aggressive. if he injures himself again then we're back at square 1. just playing well within the offense is fine with me. double double and a few blocks would be perfectly fine. if only we could steal D. Howard or Blake Griffin and have the twin towers for a while until Yao retires...
We acquired Dampier though right? When is he going to be officially suited up for the Rockets? Dampier is a hell of a defender from what I have seen while he has been with the Mavs
I just think tomorrow night would be a good night for Yao to boost all of our (already high) enthusiasm for his return. -Against the Texas rival Spurs -Rockets would be the proclaimed "underdog" in the game -Prevention of a 0-5 record. (We all know the fire is being poked at with a stick right now for this Rockets team) -Yao's minutes may not increase unless he proves his health is returning. -Next game is against the TWolves. Which in my opinion will not require Yao's full service. I think the depth of this team can give the Twolves a challenge anyway. -The Spurs are an aged team and do not put tons of emphasis on running a fast game and using their athleticism for a powerful offense but instead rely on their championship defense. Yao just needs to keep pace with the Spurs and his defense and offense, coming from his height advantage instead of athletic ability, should show up more on his stats.
