Health is not an excuse. A good player can always find a way to make solid contribution as long as he's cleared to play.
See how Grant Hilll plays nowadays? The guy barely has any athleticism left.

Tracy lacks heart, and he lacks SKILL also. TOF never admitted the latter part. He's a below average player without his quick first step and high vertical.

Can he use footwork and fakes to get loose often? Can he post up and feel comfortable down low? Can he run without the ball and make catch and shoot at 40%+? Let's not even get into defense here.

At the end of the day, ask this question, was Tracy ever effective without playing ball-dominant style, P&R on the top of key for virtually every possession with which stats, particularly assists, can be most easily accumulated?

TMac has always been overrated, even when he's at his best 7 years ago. A solid big man down low actually took away his room to drive and made him less efficient, as evident in Rox years. That being said, he never passed first round because his lack of heart. 5 points lead, 5 minutes to go, game 7 at home, no excuse. True superstar lived in those moments. Tracy deferred to a tired Yao that had put Rox back from 8 pts deficit in those moments.

tmac looks great offensively (his J is still lacking). 3 tmac-esque drives.

he just needs to just be more confident and know he can still play. it's all mental with him and hopefully he'll snap out of that. pistons ain't going nowhere and it seems like he'll get more minutes to show what he's got.

Considering it was Yao's pathetic rebounding that cost us in the game 7 of the the 07 season. He fumbled 3 boards in the last minute that allowed the jazz to score on the offensive glass. McGrady had 29 points 13 boards in that game and pretty much kept the rockets in it. You are a clown of the highest degree

^^^Fantastic points, Spiegel; McGrady has elite ballhandling, scoring and passing skills.

    I'd say 10-4-4 at best.

he surpassed Steve Francis in this aspect. People were still delusional about Steve long after he started sucking.

remember when he joined the team again? people wanted him to start over Rafer or Brooks

that is much more realistic than what some of these TOFs are thinking he will do, but i still dont think he could even get that.

want to bet on it?

I read somwhere (I guess pistons.com) that for weeks Tracy has been the best shooter on the team. They said he is simply making everything (long jumpers) in pregames shootarounds. His jumper will come I guess.

As for the Pistons, they have already started pointing out fingers at each other so this may get ugly quickly.

He looks improved, but I certainly wouldn't call those buckets "great" or "tmac-esque"

He's in slow motion compared to what he was 3 years ago. He found a way to be effective and score - but his explosiveness is a 0.2 on a scale of 1-10

I remember "tmac-esque" being much more impressive than that. No athleticism shown at all on those drives/finishes. He's comfortable finishing going left, and he hasn't lost his scoring instincts. But the lift and the explosion is gone.

Yikes his jumpers looks like crap.......

Nice spin moves....and did you hear the announcers? He has no pain it is all mental.

    Seriously?

No speed at all......wow....but if he can change his game to more of a post up PG like role...a POINT FORWARD, he could play, he is big enough and tall enough....but is he willing enough?

That's what it is gonna take for him to become a good player, ADJUSTMENTS.

Arnie said he is only gonna be better, and he will be much improved in mid season, but no one expects him to regain his explosivness, lift.

He needs to cut down his ball dribbling and focus on his game inside the arc. More post ups, on high and low posts. He can help them from those positions.
