Much like I think Brooks gets killed on here by people who are not getting the big picture, I think you are giving Lowry some of the same thing here.

Lowry worked with a team that RAN RAN RAN last year and he had finishers, he has never been a strong half court guy.....and with all those players in and out of the lineup, it is wreaking havoc on both of our PGs....

More than any position PG is dependent upon whom you are playing with....and both of our guys are playing with a revolving door...it is just tough to get comfortable like that.

The Rockets were like 15-17 when the 22 game win streak started. Give them a chance. The season is early.

That team had a healthy Yao to start the streak and TMAC to continue it when Yao went down. They also played D and had fight in them when everyone said they were done without Yao. This current team hasn't shown any of that.

No, many of us repeatedly said the Rockets current roster wasn't good enough to win a Championship, because we lacked a full time star.

There were, however, so very loud Kool Aid drinkers.

no. I knew without a significant trade we'd be mediocre like last season.

    I wasn't a fool thinking "contenders".

8 or 9 man rotation aint got nothing to do with it if you don't play defense. And that's the plague of this team. With the current roster the rockets will have a tough fight just to make the playoffs. I never thought the hornets would be in the playoff picture.

I always expect the Rockets to be competitive. We've been drilled with the message that we are shooting for a championship every year we compete. I thought we could go deep in the playoffs (not the finals though).

I'd say I overrated them on defense and their ability to close out games. They can still score though, but you need more than scoring. I'll also wait until Morey makes a trade, unless this team continues to lose games. If they go 2-3 or less in the next five games, I'll hit the panic button.

To be honest, this is the worst defensive team I've every seen period. It's almost as if 3/4 of our guys have stakes against this team in Vegas. Remember the Tracy in Toronto game? It's something like that.

The only over rating I did was expecting a win by now.

Guess they are going to follow the Astros in "great" starts to the season.

you are assuming that people have actually watched an entire NBA season before.

they think the Rockets are Boise State, if they lose a game, then no good bowl game.

Our starting back court is just too weak.

    Bring back Rafer! ;)

I have no complaints other than the fact that Rockets this year aint fighting like they did last year, no intensity and no grit at all

I was honestly more disappointed by that than the 0-4 start

Did anyone seriously think that a team whose top 3 active players are sieves on D would lead this team anywhere? Yao is hardly a presence at 24 mpg. AB continues to show he is just another undersized SG with inflated stats. Lowry is beginning to look like he is injury prone. Battier is not getting skinnier and seems to have forgotten his intangibles somewhere between last season and this season. Hill continues to flounder in NBA limbo, regressing as much as he progresses. To make matters worse, we have lost any resemblance of team D so far.

Sorry, I don't agree. He's still in there with Chase, Hill (finally), Scola, and Lee, all guys who run the floor. In fact, Lowry's rarely in there with non-runners like Yao or Hayes. Our offensive pace is at or near the top of the league. Any claim that we don't run is hogwash.

Lowry has been settling for outside jumpers. He has four free throw attempts so far. He hasn't been drawing fouls or running into the lane like the bowling ball he used to be. This has no relation on who's on the floor with him.

I'll grant you that AB is having a bit of an identity/role crisis with Yao out there and a bit of a different rotation, but not Lowry. He's just dialed it down for some reason. He was one of my favorite players, so I really hope he dials it back up.

Hasn't he been all banged up since training camp though? Once he recovers, he should resume his position as the human bowling ball.

I was one of those who openly "over rated" the Rockets but I still stick to my projection of how they will do this season-deep in the playoffs- and a stint in the WCF would not really be a surprise.

They will turn around pretty soon and make everyone in Houston happy after all is said and done. They are already showing flashes of a very good team.

Still way to early to tell, but you gotta think the Knicks 2011 1st round pick is looking damn good so far. :)

Way too early in the season for a thread like this.
