who watches japan animation?

    I bought Record of Lodoss War (13 episodes) last night. I have a week to return it. Has anyone else seen it and really liked it?

    Lil, you saw it? Fantastic.

    My fiancée is Japanese, she was in Japan in summer 2001 when it first came out, she saw it two or three times in the theater, despite the price of tickets over there ($18 for a single ticket!)

    Let me also add: another of Miyazaki's films will be released on video, called Laputa: City in the Clouds (or something like that). It was supposed to be released in theaters but Princess Mononoke, another action-adventure, but Mononoke didn't reach audiences (maybe a little cerebral and violent for an animated film?) Also well worth checking out.
