Is there any NBA teams that started 0-4 or more or less bad that went to the conference finals or something? I want to be reassured and do not want to lose hope for this year.
I believe Cavs were 0-2 before they went on to win 66 games. And also weren't the Mavs like 0-3 when they won 67 games that one year when they got knocked out by the Warriors?
The Mavericks went on to win 65 games, and then they got humiliated in the first round. Talk about false hope. The fans lose hope when they start off 0-4, then see the glimmer of championship after going 65, only to lose to the 8th seed in the playoffs.
i don't think the problem is going 0-4. it's the fact that we lost to the Warriors and Hornets, teams we are supposed to be better than and be higher seeds over. I can't see us being better than the Hornets deep in the season and the Warriors, both which 7-8 seeded playoff teams...
Dallas started 2-7 in the 08-09 season and ended up 50-32 only to get spanked by Denver in the second round. In 06-07 they started off 0-4 and went on to go 67-15 only to lose to Golden state in the first round.
we'll bounce back and be competitive b/c believe it or not: WE DO HAVE A TON OF TALENT. but there is no way we'll be a contender bc our defense is below average. most of our players are either defensive liabilities or offensive liabilities. we have too many of those. we actually need to play guys that can play both ends of the court (yao when he improves, cbud).
Just wanted to throw it out there. Kenny Smith gave us props on NBA TV calling us the best of the worst and he thinks things will start to turn around.
