... No this team does not suck. Watch the first three quarters of our last four losses. They played (well for the most part) like a playoff-caliber team. Defense is questionable, yes. But our team just looks fluid and smooth. If we can fix the late third quarter, fourth quarter meltdowns, we will be a 50-win team. If not, then we're going to be in the lottery.
LOL! We do not suck... We will be a 50 win team... Or lottery bound.... Thanks for going out on a limb there.
Just saying. I'm confident that the staff will address the issue and we'll win 50+ easily. The talent is there, but it seems like the team just loses focus and confidence after the 3rd quarter buzzer. Everyone is panicking about the stats. 0-4. But records and statistics only tell half the story. This team can win games...
We need to trade some of these assets we have and package them with a player and upgrade a starting position. Too much talent going to waste on the bench.
Actually is 2 and a half quarter, the last 1 and a half quarter have been bad. But still good competition, we need to play 4 quarter of good basketball vs good teams. But we can definitely fix the problems, We just need to win at least one to get the monkey out our back and release the pressure while we adjusting for to get the best the rockets can be. The schedule favor us now. We need to take advantage. Better early than late.
Here is the thing though. (and yes I realize this repeating what everyone here is saying). Poor teams (for sure lottery teams) will execute and play well for a few quarters but fail to execute at the end of the game or go through lulls that doom them to lose. Great teams (true contenders) will either execute and play well for the whole game which normally leads to large leads and blowouts or, execute and play well for parts of games OVERCOMING lulls, bad shooting streaks, poor execution, fouls, TO's, etc to win closer games. Okay teams (last few playoff seeds and best few lottery teams) will sometimes execute and play well the entire game allowing them steal games from great teams or win easily over poor teams. More often than not though, they never maintain that consistency, allowing lulls, bad shooting spells or execution, fouls, TO's, etc to cost them games against good teams. Right now the Rockets easily appears to be a poor team, and in the best case scenario would be an okay team that is facing good competition. However, in no way whatsoever have the Rockets shown any signs, ability, fortitude, or moxie that they can develop into a true contender. We simply do not have the right ingredients and if current superstar cannot be acquired this year, this team should essentially be blown up.
