    I can't believe you're taking this seriously.

    Very seriously.

The Rockets have not franchise player. Yao is no longer a franchise player. It's romantic that maybe a motley crew of role players and a couple of fringe all-star players may actually do something, but so far it has not proved beneficial.

Even if we get into the playoffs, what can we do? Seriously? If we aren't in this thing to win championships, what are we doing?

The only way this team turns this around is when Yao gets the 24 min ban lifted, can he go back to playing the way he has played since he was injured. But there is a chance we have a bad record by the time that happens.

Problem is, every 4th qtr the big players step up. We just don't have that, and even bad teams like the Pacers have that.

You act like Morey can't make a trade with the "assets" he has collected. Dude take a deep breath and "step back from the ledge my friend".

If we tank, we can't be in the finals with Miami right?

So we lose every game on purpose? In COMPETITIVE sports, tanking should never, ever be an option.

I'm not depending on trades. The topic isn't about Melo and i'm not very optimistic of Melo coming here.

It's not jumping off the ledge. This team has problems OUTSIDE of having a go to guy in the 4th.

Yes they CAN get it together, but nothing shows me that they will. That's just the reality of it.

Also just so everyone knows, it's not like we'd be the only team to lose a lot of our games in the 4th qtr...that's what a lot of bad teams do. Right now the Rockets are a bad team.

Tank no Trade yes. I just want this nightmare to be over with and a W to make everything better. If not Saturday, Sunday has to be the streak breaker.

Nope, remember folks, this team is ready to win now. We don't need any stars, remember?

We lost to the Lakers by a Steve Blake 3. We lost to Golden State by 4 (Monta Ellis was unstoppable) and they seemed to play their best game EVER. Denver legitly beat us. It was close with 2 minutes left and CP3 took over. A rebound here and there and 1 defensive stop, we can be 3-1. We are 0-4 I wont panic until we are 0-10. 04-05 team started out 6-11 and that was the second best team we have had in the past decade (This team is possibly better). Not worried right now.

I'd much rather see my team give it their all and not be the laughing stock of the NBA then for them to tank and screw the fans. Remember guys, quitting is for quitters.

Doesn't anybody remember the 22 wins anymore? Everyone thought our team was down but we prevailed with the 2nd longest winning streak in the NBA because we didn't give up under tough circumstances.

Well they won't have to lose on purpose with how they have played.

I understand that. All the games have been close and we could easily be 3-1 or 4-0. But we are not.

The fact that the team knows their record and continues to make the same mistakes game after game worries me. I've seen plenty of horrible teams lose most of their games in the 4th qtr as well.

But i'm thinking long term. Not just "Can we make it to the playoffs and MAYBE get to the 2nd round?" Yao is not a franchise player any more. Of course if we get Carmelo that changes a lot of things but why would he want to come here if we keep this up?

We let Steve Blake take that open 3. Monta Ellis is stoppable, he was just stopped the other night by LA. Or are they 3-0? We didn't stop him. It was close with 2 minutes left and our dumbass coach put in Yao+Scola= incapable of getting a rebound, and we let CP3 take over.

We didn't get the rebound here and there or the defensive stop. Unless we change something, we're still not going to get rebounds here and there and defensive stops.

Please, let me know, how bad does our record have to be before you stop making excuses? At some point, it doesn't matter about Coach's career record or any of the player's career stats. It matters how many ticks we have in the win column.

So please tell me, at what point should we start panicking? When we match or worse start to the season in 20 years? What is your excuse limit?

I may be wrong but I believe it's the Rockets right to swap picks, not the Knicks. Otherwise even if the Rockets did have the better record the Knicks would not swap.

I definitely agree with the bold. For sure something has to change. But you dont panic after 4 games. This team has a lot of talent to win in the NBA. The chemistry has to come together. Its gonna be a rough start, but it's all about the finish. Who knows?

Everyone panics at different times. I wont panic until we are 0-10 or 1-9. Until then I'm going to stay optimistic that things will be changed and we can forget about starting 0-4.

Yeah why not. Except mediocre teams for 5 more years or sit Yao every back to back and Martin out of 4th quarters the whole season. Tank and get the first pick or top 5. Instantly make us contenders and trade some peices away to add around our next star in the draft.

I agree 100%! That is the biggest problem right now. There is no certainty to who you should go to in the end. Bud is trying to create for himself... Brooks, Scola.

I know Scola has great numbers but he can be stopped and while he has great games he seems to play better when he is a second or third option. Plus he hasn't been at his best in the 4th. Yao is not ready for prime time just yet. I almost want him to come off the bench now. In the 4th I just want Bud to shoot open 3's. make that his role. Battier knew that was his role last year. Make that his role now.

Look at New Orleans they have a 2 headed monster to finish games. You Paul is going to have the ball you know he is going to try to play off of West. What about Martin and Brooks for us. This pass it to the open guy in the 4th doesn't work. Run some real plays for Martin and Brooks. I am not even sure what plays but those are both good scorers. Let them play off of each other and then park bud behind the arc. Let Scola run screens and then look for him. Maybe it won't work but we got to find a go ot guy in the 4th. If you don't want to just Martin then make it Martin and brooks. But this offense is crap in it's current stat!
