It is for fans like you that I sometimes dislike this board. Brooks just hit a three to put us 2 point ahead, here comes the Hornets missed a shot. One of their players misdirect a rebound. Yao had a chance to grab a rebound, guess what he didn't (anyone remember game 7 against Utah). The result CP 3 has the open three. Next possesion Yao had a t/o partly not his fault. That my friend is a ball game.

In a home game, when none of the starters was really noteworthy. Only one or two bench player showed up in 3rd and 4th quarter. There is no use to blame AB, Shane, Yao, or Scola, or K-Mart. Something is very wrong about this team, be it chemistry, be the rotation, be the game plan, be the makeup of the roster, or be the coach, something a lot more serious than a single player sucking. I don't know what Les or DM can do behind the closed door, what the players are going to do to sort it out, but something needs to happen, before this team can start to play like a team for 48 minutes.

What's the use of winning a game or two by luck, if they continue to play this way, no energy, no team work, no resistance, no killer instinct, and no sign of fundamental basketball?

What's going on here? Is it the coach? Is it Yao's 24 mins rule? Is it AB's unsuccessful extension attempt? Is it Scola's busy summer? Is it Shane's age? Or just everything together plus a lot more?

This team is too frustrating to watch right now.

simply closing it out isnt even enough....all this closer talk isn't the real solution...it's not going to take any change to one player, whether it's aquiring one or losing one.

-Our backcourt can't be aggressive if they're in foul trouble the second half

-Scola's offense isn't as great of an advantage if he's not playing defense

-We're over helping on defense, even when it's not necessary and leaving men open. Guys are running the other way before we've even secured the def rebound. AB is still getting caught looking at the post while his man is open at the 3 pt line. when help is actually necessary, they're taking bad angles where they can't get back to their man quickly enough

-again, guys who are playing well are being takent out before they cool down and cooled down players aren't being takent out quick enough

    - we have no pick and roll...im not sure why we even set picks when they dont even use them. It's just wasting clock time.

Finally, no one is yelling at anyone else. Someone needs to start screaming. They all need to wake the F up and have some pride in the way they approach the game. Being on cruise control for 3 qrtrs isn't going to warm you up for the 4th.

    Tempo, tempo, tempo.

Aaron Brooks, Kevin Martin, have no idea how to control it.

Rondo, Chauncey, Deron, Paul... We need to control tempo If we want to win.

I cannot believe how bad this team sucks.... we have too much talent to be struggling this bad. we pretty much have 4 guys who have proved they can put up all-star numbers, plus a great bench and we cant ****** beat ANYONE.

Yao played great. I wish some of the people on this board held them self to same standard they hold Yao.

Battier hit a open three in the fourth quarter when the game was already decided in the Hornets favor you idiots. Let me say that again. He had 0 points for the whole game. His 3 pointer at the end brought his scoring average up to a grand total of 3 a game you morons. He had to salvage that average with a late three to even get to that. His defense is non existant and his offense is so putrid it doesnt matter. I would rather start Budinger and then bring Jeffries off the bench at SF for his rebound and defense and putbacks at least. Battier not play a single minute of any game.

What he meant was Rockets out rebounded NO by 8 rebounds. Rebounding was not the main issue.

It's really really really obvious that this team needs a superstar/closer/killer instinct player.

i don't buy this trash that the analyst are saying how we are still adjusting... the teams that are beating us are making huge adjustments but they are building chemistry by winning "gritty" games. build chemistry in practice and freaking execute when it counts.

It's the same process for the Rockets every game!

    -Great First Half
    -Crappy Third Quarter
-Flaming Out in the Final Minutes

It's getting annoying. It's only four games in, but we've got to shake things up somehow whether it's a little change or a big one. It just doesn't seem like the formula for the Rockets, or lack thereof, is working. It's four losses, but four CONFERENCE losses, so it's even worse.

i noticed that too. Yao didn't get much touch at 4th quarter. i think that's RA's strategy to just let him score at the beginnning of the game but everybody knows this.
