So in other words a man in his 50's who is a two term President of the United States is as emotionally fragile as a teenage girl.

its not that bush is a racist or hates black people - its that his entire family is a bunch of sociopaths who dont give a damn one way or another about those poorer than them, which includes about %99.9999 of the country. its callous indifference, not racism.

"What I'm hearing which is sort of scary is that they all want to stay in Texas. Everybody is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway so this (chuckle) – this is working very well for them." –Former First Lady Barbara Bush, on the hurricane evacuees at the Astrodome in Houston, Sept. 5, 2005

I like laura, I don't she approves of her husbands policies but she's a good wife and won't make trouble.

that being said that was one of the most ignorant things said during katrina.

He got his war against a juggernaut of a Country in Iraq.
    He masterminded the Patriot act.
And with history books being revised, he will be viewed as a glorious victor against terrorism.
And honestly, four years from now, with the short term memory many americans suffer from, it will be like Iraq never happened.
He also got his name in one of those book keeping places, where they keep them books. That's win all around. So it's easy to understand why the kanye moment was the toughest. I thought it would be the shoe throwing incident, but then I also thought Kubiak would run Foster 30 times..what do I know=/

*Had a leftist in say south america had done the things Bush did, including improving trade relations with China, he would be called an evil commie and a threat to democracy.

You prolly won't expect this out of me but....

I think what he's trying to say is that the Kanye comment was the straw that broke the camels back. It's one thing to have the regular media criticizing you about lack of a plan, hesitation, being uninformed, etc. But when a popular media figure from an unconventional source comes out to straight blast away saying the President of the United States hates black people, it probably cut him really deep.

Bush is not a smart person and, as proven many times, is unable to really effectively communicate. What I think he's really trying to say is "I knew the media would criticize me just as they always do but Kanye straight reached out of the TV to smack the **** out of me. That's when I realized how fecked up the situation really was. I will blame Kanye for making me feel bad but in reality I hate myself for it."

I don't think he's trying to say, ohhhh ya I don't care about everything else, WMDs pffffttt. It's more of a....

    At first I was like...

Was he asked about his lowest moment and then brought up West's comment, or was he asked about West's comment and called it one his lowest moments? I though it was the latter, which is a lot more understandable.

Either way, I'd have to agree with DonkeyMagic on this one. Someone calling you a racist and claiming that you are intentionally not trying as hard to help because the people affected are predominantly black is a pretty severe accusation that can be hard to take, even coming from Kanye West. Sure, I wouldn't consider that his lowest moment, but that's not really relevant.
