They have a table like this in the innoventions exhibit at disneyland. the place a phone on the table and can shake the phone and all the pictures "spill" out onto the table and people can play re-arrange, zoom etc then do a bunch of other things on the phone on the table..it syncs up via bluetooth.
The things that can be done with an iPhone are too awesome. Same can be said for the newer Droids. Wish I could afford them.
Speakers? Microphone? "Will you turn that FREAKIN' TABLE iPHONE DOWN!?!?!? You're waking up the neighborhood!!!! "
It's like a poor man's Microsoft Surface. Really wish I had 12k lying around to get a Surface in my house. I played with one a few weeks ago and got hooked. It can do some really cool things.
I played with one that they have at the Rio Hotel bar. It's pretty damn cool and has some nice functionality like talking to the other tables and ordering drinks etc.

Yeah I think something like a Surface would be awesome to have at sports bars. Ability to watch games, track your fantasy teams, interact with other tables, order/food drinks, maybe even be able to detect when your drink is low and alert the wait staff. Someday.
While not necessarily in a "sports" setting, Surface is already being used for stuff like this in bars. Check out how you can use it to hit on girls at another table (see the Rio iBar demo/video) :  http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en/us/Pages/Experience/Showcase.aspx
Get you a few shots of patron while you wait for the next act to come sing Karaoke that good old stuff lol
