I think that was a pretty smart move by Fox. They own the share in Direct TV and they just asked for a crazy price increase from Dish just to get customers to switch from Dish to Direct TV. It was never about money to them, but to pry some of the Dish customers away. And they were pretty successful with it. And now that they got what they wanted, they quickly struck a deal with Dish. Pretty smart.
I thought this is what my problem was. I live with my brother temporarily and they only have the basic dish package and it doesn't offer fox sports. He refuses to upgrade to the next tier so I can't watch the games. In dallas it was included in the lowest package. I don't get it????
But I just went with the cable company for a while til the smoke blows over. Screw FOX and screw Murdoch. Kept my DISH stuff and what not.
if i'm not mistaken, foxsw carries occasional astros games and at other times they're on the fox alt... i would have thought the rockets games would be the same, but i'm getting the dallas stars game on the 416SD channel, and nothing on the HD feed
So after 2012, you will be good to watch Rockets/Astros network on Direct TV and Dish Network, correct?
Yep, you should be able to watch. Not sure about the contract they have or when it expires between now and then, but the channels exist now.
Dish network blows...most of the NBA games on today are not in HD. They are always the only service that does this from what I've seen.
