According to reports Jrue Holiday and Turner are not meshing well together and Philly may look to move him. Turner who is a natural play maker himself needs a more offensive minded back court guard next to him and Brooks fits the bill! I propose this trade: Philly Receives: Aaron Brooks Hou Receives: Jrue Holiday The rockets get a playmaking PG who can run the offense as well as play solid defense!
Sixers coach loves Holiday and might not be as high on Brooks as some people on this BBS are. http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/10/29/1898420/short-attention-spans-will-not.html
i love it, but i don't think Philly will bite yet, assuming they've watched our last three games. Brooks, Battier, Jeffries, and Taylor are as good as gone in my book. Still not sure about Hill.
Not a bad trade, but I am slowly realizing that Iggy isn't as attainable as some on this board think. Unlike Melo, he hasn't publically demanded a trade yet.
An expiring and young talent? Why not? Smith is the odd man out anyway in Atlanta according to the news.
Because Jordan Hill would play the same position Smith already plays. If they move Smith it will be so Horford can play his natural position. That trade doesn't give the Hawks a center, but rather another possibility to play out of position.
Battier, Hill, and part of trade exception to Detroit for Tayshaun Prince and Ben Wallace. It's a trde that you dont have to give up a lot of valuable pieces and you get two stud defenders in return and Prince is a mch better offensive player than battier. possible you would have to give up a draft pick too. i would also bring brooks off the bench for an offensive spark. starters: pf - scola sf - prince c - yao sg - martin pg - lowry bench: pg - brooks sg - lee sf - budinger pf - wallace c - dampier c - miller pf - hayes
A more likely scenario would be if Bibby goes to the 76ers and Kapono to the Hawks...I think the Rocket's would still get the better of that trade.
Atlanta Apparently wants to move smith so Horford goes to PF. Kaman is taking Away touches from Griffin and Deandre Jordan needs more minutes so Clippers move Kaman. Clippers take back a expirer in Jefferies and Get a great shooter SF in Budinger and Potential PF/C in Hill. (Add in 3Mil to Buyout Jefferies and a 2011 Houston First Round(with swap to Knicks) to sweeten the deal if Clippers wont bite.) Rockets meanwhile get their Rebounding/Shotblocking SF/PF whom they desperately need. Win for all 3 Teams. Atlanta gets their Center so no more playing out of positions. Kaman is suprisingly a low post threat(Shown last year). Should work well with Horford. Clippers help further develope their young stud Griffen by giving him more touches and freedom in the post. Whilst gaining very good player in Bud and Potential player Hill. Rockets get the versitile shotblocker SF/PF that can play with Scola/Yao to improve Rebounding and takeover the shotblocking which scola lacks. Whilst only losing Role Players and expierers and a Pick. Please Feedback on this
I have been a Josh Smith fan and advocate for awhile. He woud really do a lot for us at both the 3 and the 4.
I'd give up Hill, Hayes, Jeffries and a 2012 for Smith. Helps the money issues that the Hawks are going to have next year and keeps them young.
Josh Smith up for grabs. Houston should get him! http://www.hoopsvibe.com/nba-news-a...rumor-al-horford-in-josh-smith-out-in-atlanta http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=17790 I found this rumor surfacing while looking for news on the Jermaine Taylor trade. I think it would be a great addition to the roster. He can play SF and PF and he is a defensive beast. That's our main problem right now so he seems like a perfect solution. What do you guys think?
Also, they are looking for salary relief. We have the expiring contracts and young assets to make this work. It wouldn't take giving up nearly as much to bring him in as Melo or Iggy. He's a different player but I believe he fits perfect.
