Normally, I like to add something of substance to threads but as a Stros' fan this is to good of an opportunity to pass up...

 

Damn dude. I'm tired of all these end of the world threads. Seriously. "Let's yell at moray becaus he doesn't have a star player yet!" god damn it makes me want to puke. Every other Gm is trying to get a star player! So if we have 30 all trying to upgrade their talent, and 1 team gives away a star, that leaves us with what? A 1/29 chanc to aquire a star. How many stars have we gone after? Let's see. Carmelo, Iggy, Bosh. So that's 3. 3/29. Not a very high percentage "fans". It's not Moreys fault that teams don't want to give up great players for chump change, it's fans not understanding how much it cost to get a star player.

I can't tell you how many fans have posted on here, why don't we have a amazing 4th quarter closer? Well shot, how many teams have a great closer? There are less teams with one than without one, so that means everyone that doesn't have one wants one. Go jump off a bridge. Seriously. Don't start a thread just to tell me we need a closer. Most posters on thus board are smarter than you, and therefor have already realized we needed a closer.

 

Every team goes through losing streak. It is just 3 games.

Even the 94 team had a 4 game losing streak, we will be okay

 

I love the comical reactions to a 3 game losing streak. Guess what, all it proves is what most of us already knew. We have a good, but not great team.

Trades can't fix it unless you are trading for a guy like Carmelo Anthony.

Here's what needs to happen this season:

I'm not really worried about the three game loss. I'm mostly worried about how quickly the coaches will make the necessary changes in the line-up that need to be made. Pretty much i feel that we are being set up for a nice win streak.

 

This team is going nowhere. I'd be surprised if they won any games this year.

 

It's funny that you got negative feedback, but i feel your pain. What you're saying is not completely false. It's still early, but i haven't seen rockets get burned in back to back 2nd halves 3 in a row for a long time. THey basically lost a midlevel contract guy in Ariza and replaced him with a lower caliber /contract guy in Lee. I'm assuming they didn't replace Ariza with a proper player and not finding the performances in battier, lowry that they once generated. Yao's 24 min per game may disrupt things, but I don't think it's a problem if your team is sound.
