Obviously Rockets lost against Warriors due to Yao's game.

This is absurd, and not just because it's so knee-jerk. We're three games into the season and he just came back from injury after being out for an entire season. It's absurd because you obviously haven't figured out why Yao isn't going to be traded. He's worth plenty to the franchise on the floor, but his worth to the franchise is enormous in ways that have nothing to do with how well he plays. One word: China.

Some people here flip-flop after each play!

Perhaps we should trade Yao to a team whose fans will appreciate him more.

    Please trade Yao, quick, please
Since the Rockets has got another C, the so-called second best C.
Then there is no need to keep Yao in Houston, as it is also planned by the GM and Boss of the Team.
    So obviously
So please trade Yao, to heat, who is hunger for a real C,
So Yao might get a Ring before he broke down his leg again

Yes. I agreeeeeeee. How hard is that?
Months ago, fans were still talking about the luxury of adding Yao to a team with 42 wins. Now we can't take it? Whose fault is that? The coach cannot utilize a player with 24 min's PT any more?

the fallacy is...you just can't mix in a player like Yao. particularly when your franchise history since he's been here has been about building around him.

the rockets spend half the game trying to be some high-flying Phoenix-esque squad that they can't be when yao's on the floor.

they spend the other half trying to feed yao the ball. trying to run offense through him. he's the max dollar guy...the best player on the team, at full strength.

neither of those halves sees much defense played at all. there is no fluidity. there is no chemistry.

they should have waited to bring him back when he could actually play an NBA game. this experiment is stupid. teams aren't like spreadsheets..you don't just add another entry and sum it up on the bottom line, increasing your total. it just doesn't work that way.

    How does it resolve?

    -missing defensive rotations
    -unable to rebound
-making dumb decisions with the ball
-going 3-19 on 3 pointer (many of them open)
    -TO the ball 20 times
-starting Hayes at 6'6 with slow footed Miller
    - Lack of 2 way players. Our starting Roster is almost all one way players.
-poor coaching decisions (subbing, rotation, timeout)
-letting opposing teams scrub players go off and look like MJ.

I guess we can just blame it on 24 minutes and ignore the fact we got bigger problems.

Yao is still in recovering and slow. Why does he serve the ball, bot a powerforward?
The defense from Martin, Brook, and Burdinger are horrible and they didn't move the balls to Yao or to other players. They need stat No. for themselve. Yao shot 6/10, really efficient last night.
The big problem in Rocket team are "the shooters (Brook, Martin, and Buldinger) cannot defense and the defenders (Battier, Hayes and Jeffrie) cannot shot". The passer (Smith) cannot shot either. There are so many one-dementional payers in the Rockets. Yao is the only one who can do three (offense, defense, and pass).
The team should start Buldinger instead of Battier and play more H Jordan, PP than Hayes.

I totally agree. What a bunch of whinies many of these "Trade Yao" folks. What will you say when the Rockets turn around and start winning most of their games this season? You don't think it will happen? Think again. And yes they will turn around with Yao! Stop the panic and man up. I thought Rockets fans are stoic and smart.

These losing streaks happen to the best teams so bear with our hometown team.

that's part of the problem....he doesn't play from game to game...or minute to minute. that's the problem. no fluidity. this team has zero identity or self-awareness, because it's trying to be a million different things at the same time. with umpteen different players rotating through minutes.

I know the exact play you are talking about, but Scola was on fire at the time.

a hint for the bigger problems for a supposed-to-be-contender
    -too many 1D players
-a coach never succeed in contendinig
just kidding (if you don't agree) ;)

I agree with the too many 1D players.

In reality our only 2 way player is Yao with his 24 minutes.

I can't name one other person on this team that is an effective 2 way player? Maybe Lee? Scola is he had some shotblocking hops.
