But just a year ago, EVERYONE here was agog over Brooks' play at the point. Now his head is up his ass. Could it be maybe, just maybe mind you, teams have caught on to him and started to design defenses to counteract what he does best? I understand that you are POed but try to take the long view. It's still early and this team is in flux and will stay that way because of the situation with Yao Ming. It remains to be seen how they will shake out defensively.

No D and No Rebounding equal a bunch of L's in a league full of parity, where Cleveland can beat Boston after Boston beat the Heat.

Welcome to the 8th seed and a Lakers 4-2 series win.

    The following are needed immediately:
    * Trade for Melo/Andre a real #3 who score, play D, I would prefer Andre I. Bye Bye Shane and Jeffries expiring.
    * Never let Kyle Lowry shoot beyond the free throw line
    * This isn't Brad Miller from Sacto, this is the old A Brad Miller who gives us nothing.
    * Play Jordan Hill, at least he can deflect a couple of shots
    * RA must get tough and sit people who don't play D. Yes AB, that means you.

I've been waiting patiently for a Rockets win to post here but it was looking like I would have to wait a while :(

I don't think so at all, but adding a giant 7'6" man in the paint sure limits his driving abilities...doesn't it?

I think his role, just like everyone else's role has changed and the entire team is struggling with that.

And he also looks around the league at championship franchises renewing or extending contracts like the SPurs and Tony Parkers and probably feels underappreciated.

I like DM, but I think his hard rule about no extensions is stupid for some players....

This is what you have contributed so far in the thread.

Instead of speaking like you are incapable of understanding a different point of view, why don't you express your own opinion in a board made to share opinions?

i am more mad because they look better than these teams. For 3 and half quarters. I am mad because Adelman cant figure it out while we are dropping games. Too much though. I dont think i could properly put in the lineups every night with such a large selection of groups of players to choose from. It would be impossible to keep sending in the right players over and over. They need a trade. This is not knee jerk. This actually the problem here is they do need a trade to get rid of some of these guys and get one or two back that are good in return to shorten the rotations. Battier and or Books hass to be one of the positions replaced. One or both could be included along with guys who wont be used by Adelman like Jeffries and Hill.

the two biggest problems the rockets have:

    1. can't get into the paint consistently
    2. cant defend

and both are due to the team's lack of athleticism (size, muscle, etc.). along those lines, it was a big mistake trading someone like Artest for Ariza. Artest is a beast of an athlete, powerfully built, strong as a bull, good height, and a great defender to boot. you can't afford to give up that kind of athleticism (and defense) when your team has so little of it.

AB got hammered on some last season, as well. Like I said, I've been surprised at his play so far. I'm one of those people who expected more from the guy than what we're seeing right now. As for the "long view," I take the long view, the short view, and the views in between. I'm very pissed off right now that they didn't keep feeding Scola the ball and letting him go to work. That brain dead trey from AB was just the capper for me. He might go off for 28 himself next game. I hope so. I also hope that if one or two of the other guys are on fire, he'll take time to pass them the ball where they need it.

I wonder how boy genius Morey is looking to everyone right now, with his stats. We have greatest Stats team assembled. The only problem is that the stats dudes can't play D or rebounding consistently to win anything. Oh yea, I did see that they learned to run a double team (at Mel) instead of letting him torch us for 46 (Monta). Thanks RA, that left Harrington open for bombs because Scola is slow as H on the rotations.

Just back from the game. I admit that I did not even stay till the end. This is probably the first time I left early. There was no energy throughout the game. The players had no energy, neither had the fans. Coach RA was not doing much and the players looked bored.

I am never a fan of Coach RA. His approach always seem lazy to me. In tonight' game, after Lowry jacked up a three pointer when plenty of time on the clock, Coach clapped his hands disgusted and looked toward Lowry running back, but that's pretty much it.

The stupid Miller could not properly throw a ball into the court, and in the next second could not catch an air ball. Out of frustration, he collected a personal and a technical. In JVG's era, this sequence can fix Miller's butt on the bench for weeks, but under RA, he would only be given a few minutes and step back to the court to hurt the team further.

Remember when there were 4 seconds left in the quarter and Budinger was bring the ball across the court, I was like shoot the damn ball when he was 1 step from the arc, he ended up losing the ball while trying to get closer. Someone please tell the guy that under that situation just throw the f#$king ball into the air. You would be pissed too if you think how Nene scored the 3 pointer at the end of another quarter.

A few days back in LA, when Brooks got no where to go and dropped Budinger for a two for one, Chase also failed to realize that and dripped and turned the ball over. That was the point of momentum change against up. Blake then dropped a three on the other end of the court. I am not here to blame Chase as he is a young player and is effective and still learning the game. But someone please do the job to teach and make Bud not to make the same mistakes over and over?

The 3 losses reminded me the situation in RA's first season. At one point, the owner was so pissed by the coaching and game plan, that he demanded RA to give an explanation. We may not be far away from that this time.

AB's inability to play defense has to be addressed.

During the last few minutes of the game, Billups shot over him, went around him and just abused him. Even Ty Lawson went right at AB for an easy layup.

Tonight's loss was not on AB but he sure contributed significantly.

    Who Brooks?

If he's thinking like this oh well. Tony Parker has done so much more than Brooks it's not even funny.

Brooks has had one good year like that, this is not the NFL.

Well from where I sit, all I see is a team stocked with the same kind of players who were aquired for a trade that hasn't happened yet. Essentially, DM brought back the same team plus Yao & Brad Miller. The rest are supposed "assets" to be moved in a trade for a star or near star (or dwarf star). Now you know that I don't worship at the temple of Morey particularly after the Ron Artest episode so I agree with your point that it's time for DM to really earn that "Genius" label. But judging from what I see here, it will be Adelman who will get tossed into the fire and not DM if things don't start working out come year's end.

Please try leaving Shane, Chuck, Jeffries and Brad on the bench for 1 game. Love to see the guys with the ability (besides Yao) to take a crack. I already know, that Chuck and Brad will get murdered on the boards and won't score. I already, know that Shane will put a hand in someone's face and get lit up. Hey Shane, the only thing you're preventing is them seeing the ball go in the bucket.

AB/Ish (Don't need a shorter/less intelligent version of Rajo jacking up shots)
    Martin/Lee
    Bud/Taylor
    Scola/PP
    Yao/Hill

We are 3 - 0 with a coaching staff that looks like it could use some help
