... I just get the feeling that this team just doesn't have that same scrappiness that was present last year...
Seriously, dude? T-Mac was the "heart" of this team? I LOVED the guy's scoring ability but I don't know...heart? Not sure about that one.
Well, there really is nothing to play for. There is no chip on their shoulders. It seems everyone in the media was picking Houston to be the dark horse... The only person with the real chip is Yao and he's restricted to 24 minutes a game, which an offense that is primarily focused on fast breaks and perimeter play...
Aaron Brooks looks like he is still thinking about why his contract hasn't been extended yet. He is playing bad!
Too many white players. Yao, Scola, Battier, Martin...... that 's 4 in the starting lineup. also Budinger, Miller. This team is soft.
I agree. Couldn't put my finger on it, but yeah. We need to show the heart we had in the past. Guys are too busy just being professional and not playing with a focused determined heart to do whatever it takes to win. Passion. This team can contend for a championship but they have to believe it and expect to win no matter what every time. After a loss they should practice and play so hard they win in blowouts the next game. They showed more defensive energy than the first two games, they have to build on that and develop a killer instinct in the 4th.
We have no Fire or spark to get this team going. We need somebody to motivate them and Rick ain't doing it.
I agree! I don't know what happened. Maybe trading Carl? Maybe the big contracts given? I don't know, but they just aren't playing blue collar basketball right now.
