They'd kill to move Brand, but I can't see anyone taking on that contract. MAYBE Washington would take him for Arenas, but the Sixers wouldn't want anything to do with Arenas.

Who knows for sure what Philly even wants for AI. Could be another Denver/Carmelo pipe dream pricetag. Draft pick, big expiring or TE, and a decent rookie contract forward would make sense.

Both Cle and Tor have TEs big enough to take on his contract and give them immediate payroll savings - much more valuable than a expiring deal for a team struggling with revenue.

If the Hornets pulled off a swap using Peja, that would go a long way in persuading Paul to stay. Utah (AK47) could really use him. Orlando (VC) has been active for months trying to upgrade.

So long as Iguodala doesn't have a ridiculous "list" (re: one single team) and the Sixers aren't unreasonable, there could be a decent list of suitors.

I'd definitely love to see him end up here. He'd really help on both ends.

Need to send $10M in salary (min) to make the deal work.
I'd offer one of the two Knicks picks
    Jeffries, Hill, and Patterson

I guess we would probably use 1 if not more of them in the trade.

The on the court demise of Elton Brand killed that franchise.

Nope, Losing Andre Miller killed the franchise. They would be doing absolutely nothing If Brand was 110% healthy...

You can't discount the effect of having all that money tied up to a non productive player.

I actually dont know, but they're not exactly playing him, so maybe.

Well first, i posted this before i knew about dampier, but he's only here for a year anyway.

And second, we dont have a center with his mix of skills. Miller comes close, but Hawes is a better shot blocker. Also, both hawes and miller can play PF.

I don't think they'll trade Iggy unless they unload brand with him.

Philly would bite on that, but I'm not sure that's a good trade if we give up both of our young guys. Yao and Scola are both pushing 30, if we don't want to rebuild again in a couple of years we need to keep one of them to play with Brooks.

I'd offer C-bud, Knicks swap, Jeffries and Hill or Patterson.

    Brooks/Iggy/Martin/Scola/Yao

    Defensive second lineup:
    Lowry/Lee/Battier/Miller or Hayes/Damp

^I like this rotation. The starting lineup is a healthy mix of both offense and defense, while the second line up is full of defensive players.

I doubt that any team will trade right now. When trade deadline approaches then trades will be made.

I'd swap C-Bud for Taylor in your trade and throw in another Rockets draft pick (keep the 2012 Knicks pick). We need some scoring in that second unit, and Bud would be it.
