I have an accord and I attempted to change the headlights. Unfortunately I broke some of the clips. Are there any places that won't completely rip you off to change it?

Go to the auto supply joint- they will probably help you for free.

Why the hell do the manufacturers make it so difficult to replace the bulbs??
On the newer Accords you have to go behind the front wheels and open up the splash guard cover or whatever that thing is called....pain in the arse.

If you're gonna pay I say you should be looking at $20-30 to replace the bulbs (assuming you're providing the bulbs) ... maybe less. Go find a place that installs HID's / Car Stereos - they usually do it and cheap.

Changing the lightbulbs in your vehicle is mind-blowingly easy. With that said, go to a salvage yard, I'd recommend Big LeRoy's on West Montgomery. I do a lot of business with the owner, especially dealing with headlights, as a matter of fact.

Here's their link, you can put in your make, model, ect. and it will tell you the price.

I had to get one replaced this week. Went to Mercedes. They made me buy the part (€11), then someone came and picked it up. Came back two minutes later. I asked how much it was and he just smiled and said "No problem".

You would think it is, but the accord is a pita. First you got to get out this fasteners, which are hard to remove without breaking. To actually reach the bulb without cutting your hand/wrist is also kind of hard and finally trying to pry that darn without breaking it is also a challenge. If I completely break of electric socket I figure I am probably going to be spending even more to buy another connector strip the wire solder it all back together.

If they're HID's, it could be because they're stolen so often. Nissans and Hondas have had a history of lights being stolen and I know Nissan tried to make it more difficult to steal them. I'm not sure if that helped any, and I'm not sure about if Honda did anything, although I thought I recall the 4G TL's lights being difficult to steal without removing the bumper (I could be wrong about that). Of course, I'm guessing a thief would then rip the bumper off or something to get at it. lol.

Yeah and the clips break so the splash guard becomes loose.

I changed one on my own and I couldn't get the other. I took it to Jiffy Lube and that guy knew less about it than me.

I ended up getting it changed at C&M Honda in Stafford for free. Nice guys. Good place to get service done.
