I don't know if he's the best player, but he's the most irreplaceable player on that team. Kobe could go down and the Lakers would win 50+ and contend for sure (they looked better without him for the 2nd consecutive game). But if Pau gets injured, they aren't going anywhere.

Actually, never mind, he is their best player. Was last year in both reg season and playoffs too. He's just not very exciting so no one is going to give him props.

goodbug.... you are... not bright. First off, you can't just pigeon hole wade/lebron into pippen/jordan's legacy. Fans, writers, everyone wants to do that but you can't.

Kobe may be the best skilled player in the league but lebron is the best player. I'm content with it being open for debate even though I don't think so.

But to say that lebron is wade's pippen is ludacris. Lebron is at least equal in scoring buckets but a better passer and rebounder than wade. Stop drinking your haterade

Lakers did very well when Bynum was healthy and Gasol was out in the beginning of last year. Lakers would have 0 penetration last 2 years without Kobe, and they're a very bad 3pts team. They don't even have a Mike Miller to help like Gasol's in Grizzles. To think Gasol will dominate inside like Shaq in his prime is childish.

They just won without Wade or LeBron for that matter.
They don't need Kobe but LeBron's the cancer, Kobe's there to keep LeBron in check.

"It's been said that LeBron could've benefited here this summer," USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo said. "But it was never a consideration."

    Here we go again

Lebron might be the best player, but that's in regular season. You can't say a players the "best" if he folds under pressure. Kevin Durant averaged more points than Kobe last year, but you can't say he's better than Kobe. Same thing with Lebron.

And I can forsee LeBron's gonna get around 20/7/7 but fanboys would argue that's the best stat in the league.

hate to say it but heat looked good considering how early in the season it is.....mind you - the magic shot terribly and couldn't possibly be that bad again.

dwight also looked the goods until he got into foul trouble....seems the session with hakeem have really paid off.

Yeah, Lakers were awesome with Kwame Brown. I can't believe they traded him.

I don't understand that either. I never understood how bryant could be rated as a better defender.

One reason is that he's the most overhyped player in NBA history. He's Dominique Wilkins with a good big man.

I don't know if he's the most overhyped player in NBA. Last time I checked, the game is about getting the championship ring, not stats, and he's doing it very well.

Look no further than how Kobe shut down Rondo and Rondo killed Cavs and LeBron did nothing.

He's doing it very well, with the help of Paul Gasol and injuries to the Celtics team.

btw, if you would like to hub Kobe's nuts, just go and hug them. Maybe he'll sue you for sexual harassment, but you know it's worth it. Just dont waste your time making countless useless posts here that only serve to highlight your not very respectable intelligence. Oh I am sorry, you don't have anything important to do in life, so its not a waste for you.

You see, this post is about the heat magic game, not Kobe Bryant. Why am I clicking into this post and find your sorry ass here?

I thought you should be spending time correcting grammatical errors in your papers? If you need some math tutoring, for a moderate fee I can help too.

It's about magic heat game, and I was not the one who brought up this Kobe topic.

I think you need a pair of new glasses. And why would I want some math tutoring from someone who has no logic?

I got free tickets so I was there at the game, when Lebron passed it to D-Wade for alley oop. Holy ****, I hadn't heard such a loud arena in a while. Even got a free shirt and poster.

btw I got there 2 hours earlier because parking is a b****, so if you're wondering why the arena is almost empty, that's why.

I think you have a future in photography waiting for you, if you're not already a professional.
