I like seeing DH take the jumpshot. Always heard he practiced it but never used it in games.

Yeh its ugly... not as ugly as Lewis's game at the moment or the officials.. they seem to have gotten every single call both ways wrong so far. Magic's D has been good so far but their offense is woeful early... don't seem to be running any plays, just jacking up bad shots or letting DH try and do something.

Gotta love JVG... hes the only one who doesn't tow the ESPN line of not speaking negative of Wade, James or Howard... laughed when he was getting into Lebron about 'the decision' and the others were defending it no doubt because it was on ESPN.

LeBron just dribbled off his foot.

Nash did the same last night.

4 defensive three second calls in the first 13 minutes. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this.

The conspiracy theorist in me wants to say that it's because the league wants to clear the lane for Wade and James. My much more rational side tells me it's been called twice on each team. I'm going with the latter. Still really strange though.

I think James Jones will break the NBA records for most 3 pointer made in a single season.

Gotta love JJ Redick, he gives it his all every night.

He is one of my favorite players, mainly because I am a Duke fan though.

Howard's post game has improved dramatically, even on his missed post shots he still looks more comfortable.

I guess the summer workout really helped.

Dwight's improvement attributed to his training with The Dream?

the heat will be a GREAT defensive team by the end of the season. their quickness and ability to double with the perimeter players and recover are on point right now.

their offense is obviously still a work in progress but defense will be the key and they already have that base covered.

lebron is slowly morphing into a PG right now, even when he plays with role players.

i am REALLY impressed by Dwight Howard! My biggest criticism was his lack of offensive repertoire or diversity. No go to move. But now he is using his athleticism and spinning to the basket fluidly. That jump shot is great too. His post moves definitely show some of Hakeem's tutorials. Definitely can challenge Pau Gasol better this year.

Lot of Hakeem talk at halftime. Howard could finally be a dominate offensive player this year.
